The twins were now inside the bedroom that they shared. It was about half the size of the living room and had pale blue walls, a wood floor with a small rug, and two twin sized beds, one with green sheets and the other with blue sheets, on opposite sides.
It was pretty obvious that the room was shared by two people. One one side, there were clothes, video game controllers, and inventions strewn all over the floor, while on the other side there was a shelf full of neatly stacked books and a completely empty floor.
While Athena was perched on her neatly made green bed reading a book absent-mindedly, Aris was laying on his unmade blue bed, the top half of his body hanging upside down off of it.
"You know, you could have helped me back there" he said to his sister, referring to their fight with Dipper. "The minotaur's treasure was your idea, after all."
"Unlike you, I know how to pick my fights" Athena responded as she turned a page in her book, not even looking up at him. "I know a hopeless fight when I see one."
Aris groaned impatiently.
"Has it been two weeks yet?"
Athena glanced down at her watch.
"Close. Two minutes."
Aris moaned in exasperation, and the rest of his body slid onto the floor in a both depressed and dramatic way.
"So, what's that book you're reading?" he asked.
"It's called The Count of Monte Cristo" she replied bluntly, not looking up from the book. "It's about a man who is imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit, and his vengeance against those who wronged him."
"Oh. Fascinating" was all that Aris could say, before there was another long silence.
He plopped back onto his bed, picked up a rubber ball off of the side desk, and threw it against the floor. The ball would bounce off of the floor, then the wall, then back into his hand, and he would do the exact same thing again.
Throw. Floor. Wall. Hand. Repeat.
Throw. Floor. Wall. Hand. Repeat.
Throw. Floor. Wall. Hand. Repeat.
Athena clutched the book tighter and held it closer to her face.
Suddenly her brother stopped throwing the ball, and he actually became completely silent. She started to relax, and even brought the book down from her face.
However, when she turned her head to see what Aris was doing, she nearly dropped the book.
He was still sitting on his bed, but there was a bright purple portal hovering vertically at the foot of his bed that he had opened with his watch, and he was grabbing random items from around him, and throwing them into the portal.
Athena leapt out of her bed, and marched towards her brother with the book still in her hand.
"What are you doing?!" she screeched.
"BORED!!!" Aris shouted with a monotone voice, as he grabbed her book right out of her hand and threw that into the portal too.
"Hey! That was a library book!"
"You of all people should know that anything you leave lying around is subject to destruction, whether accidental or intentional" he replied. "Why else would you be so neat?"
"That was in my hand!" Athena screeched. "Get rid of that portal. Now."
"Alright, alright! Sheesh!"
