Blendin was growing impatient with still no signs of the kids.

"Show yourselves!"

All of a sudden, the lights flickered off.

The large room was immediately swamped in darkness, and the time agents gasped in surprise and started to murmur to themselves, unable to see a thing.

Suddenly, someone yelped in pain and the sound of their body collapsing to the ground echoed throughout the entire dark room.

The others turned around towards the source of the noise.

"What was that?"

From another direction, there was another cry of pain and a thud.

Then another.

Then another.

When the lights finally came on again, four men were sprawled out on the ground, unconscious.

The remaining eight men started to whisper in fear amongst each other, and gather even closer together.

"E-enough!" Blendin stuttered, trying to be the brave hero of the group. "Th-there's nothing to be scared of, it's just two kids! Now split up. We can cover m-more ground."

Reluctantly, the men split up into groups and started to search in different directions, while Blendin went alone, desiring to show the others that he was strong enough not to need anyone.

Two time agents were wandering together by themselves on the left side, walking past the piles of random scrap and parts.

They were unaware of the person watching them intently above from the rafters of the ceiling.

One of the men yelped in surprise as several of the piles of scrap around them suddenly vanished into the air.

"It's just the instability of the timelines" the other man said with a deep voice. "The sooner we find these kids, the sooner we can stop it before people start to disappear."

They were just walking around a corner, when they caught sight of something. It was someone's foot, sticking out from behind the air conditioning vent.

One of the agents elbowed the other, and gestured towards the person's hiding spot. The two men raised their laser guns, and started to slowly make their way towards the person's foot.

The first man held up three fingers, and started to silently count down.

Three.

Two.

One.

Both of the agents slid to the side of the air vent, aiming their guns at the person.

But to their shock, there was no one.

The only thing there was the lone riding boot with no foot attached to it that had been sticking out from behind the air vent.

Suddenly, a drill press was dropped from the ceiling, nailing the first man right over the head. He was out cold before he even hit the floor.

The second man was just looking up at the ceiling to find the source of the drill press when Athena suddenly dropped from the ceiling as well, landing right onto his shoulders.

Before he could even cry out, she raised her arms and brought her elbows down hard over the back of his head.

A few yards away, a group of three agents heard the commotion.

"What was that?" one of the men asked, his voice shaking with fear.

The leader of agents held his gun tighter in a determined manner.
