The instant Athena and Aris appeared right in front of their house in California, they bolted down the street, ignoring the torn down houses and the orange sky above their heads as they searched for their uncle.
"Blendin said that he was frozen in a time bubble down the street" Athena recalled. "But how far did he mean? And what would a time bubble look like?"
Aris pointed ahead of them with wide eyes.
"Uh, like that!"
He pointed to a massive, green bubble that looked so fluid it appeared as if it were moving even though it was merely hovering above the sidewalk.
Trapped inside it was none other than their Uncle Dipper, who looked as if he was walking leisurely even though his body was completely still.
"Uncle Dipper!" the twins cried out, as they hurried as quickly as they could towards him. Aris was about to plunge right towards it, when Athena suddenly caught him by the back of his hood.
"Careful!" she exclaimed. "If you run towards the bubble at that speed, you might accidentally get trapped in it too."
Aris crossed his arms over his chest.
"Okay, Sherlock, what brilliant, complicated plan do you have to get him out of there?"
Athena simply pulled a bobby pin out of her hair, and struck the bubble with it.
The bubble instantly popped, and Dipper fell flat onto his face on the hard sidewalk.
"I think that might have been my best plan yet" Athena said, as Dipper started to get up.
A disapproving expression immediately crossed over his face when he first saw them.
"Kids, I thought I told you to-"
"You can ground us later, Uncle Dipper, but first we need your help to stop the Apocalypse" said Aris.
"Stop the...what?"
Dipper looked around for the first time at the demolished ruins of the neighborhood and the orange sky above them. He was in such shock that he accidentally backed up right into a fire hydrant, which came to life at the contact.
It barked as if it were a dog, grew four legs, and ran off in the opposite direction.
Dipper had a horrified, confused expression on his face.
"Weirdmageddon" he murmured. "It's back."
Suddenly, a giant foot stomped down onto the ground right next to them, and the three of them looked up to see a seventy foot tall giant with a single leg, eight muscular arms, and a single eye embedded onto its outstretched tongue.
"Um, maybe you should tell us about it inside" said Athena.
While Weirdmageddon had destroyed most of their house, it had left the basement still in tact. Dipper had shut what was left of the door and had pushed a desk up against it to barricade it. Because the basement was where Aris had spent most of his time inventing, the room was messy and filled with several inventions and parts that were carelessly scattered everywhere. There was more metal than actual room.
Dipper was looking at the twins with a confused expression on his face.
"What the heck is going on?" he exclaimed. "I leave the house for ten minutes, and when I return, Weirdmageddon is suddenly back? What did you kids do?"
Aris scratched the back of his neck in an uncomfortable manner.
"It's a really lengthy 55-page long story, but..."
