"So tell me about D.A." I blurted, not even doubting for once that if she was Erica or not.
As these words left my mouth, her eyes widened. I saw her giving me a sharp look, carefully checking me from top to bottom with her light brown eyes. Then her eyebrows scrunched together in suspicion. As I took a step forward, she quickly retarded back.
In a swift motion, she pulled out a revolver from her coffee brown leather jacket's inner pocket, aiming it at me to my utter shock.
"Oh my god, Erica. It isn't a toy. Put that down." I shrieked out in low a voice, with my hand on my chest. But she didn't budge.
"Who are you? Where is Aadhya Ma'am? Have you kept her in hostage?" Erica asked me, her voice dominated with suspicion, taking me aback.
Her hands shook violently as she gripped the revolver more tightly, but she didn't put her hands down.
"Hey, I am Aadhya. Believe me. I have lost my memory." I tried my best to speak in a tone that she would understand.
I was pretty sure that never in this two three days of my life, I was this desperate for someone to believe me. But she showed no signs of understanding my words. I stressed over my mind to remember something that only I and Erica would know. But this only caused my head to start aching a bit and I knew that if I forced my brain to work more, I'd be passing out in few moments.
"Lower the gun Erica. Listen to me." I said in a decorous voice. But she furiously nodded her head in a very big no.
"Back off. I'm dead serious." She growled.
Without acting as a defeatist, I again stepped in front but then, she instantly aimed closer to my leg and shot. The bullet hit the floor just few centimeters away from my leg and I jumped back in fear. She gasped and her eyes were stuck on her own hands, as if she was also shocked of what she did.
There was no sound of the shoot and then I noticed the silencer on her revolver.
"Have you lost it?" I rushed towards her as soon as I noticed that her attention wasn't on me. I hit the side on my palm on her right wrist with full force and pulled out the gun out of her hands. Then, I quickly tucked it behind, under the waistband of the sweatpants I was wearing.
"Who sent you here instead of Aadhya Ma'am?" She asked without trying to hide the anger and confusion in her voice.
I had no answer for her questions, so I tried hard to recall any one point which could prove her that I'm Aadhya or D.A. I asked her for some time, so I could think deeper, without stressing my mind.
Her expressions softened a bit as she started to speak. I guessed she decided to give me a chance which I surely didn't wanted to loose. But then she said, that she was giving me five mins to prove her that I was Aadhya.
"Its very small time." I argued back but started thinking of everything I'd seen in my dreams. Everything I heard, everything I spoke. She kept tapping her feet, glancing her watch on every twenty seconds.
When there were only last few seconds left, she she took a threatening step in my direction. But I stood at my place, unaffected. She opened her mouth to say something when I spoke.
"I don't kill innocents. Better way I don't kill the one's who don't have any charges over them."
It was very hard for me to accept it openly that I used to kill people. But putting a my dreams together, especially the one where I was telling to myself that I will have to kill the love my life, I understood that just my denial or refusal to accept can't change the fact. And that fact was that my hand were stained with blood, blood of those who didn't seem to be innocents to me.
