Aadhya's POV
"You sure you want me to wait for you in your cabin? I might be disturbing you!" I voiced out as Ishika struggled with unclamping the helmet. I got off by bike, offering her help which she refused.
"Kabir's gonna be late and my shift ends in an hour. So, I surely don't wanna ditch a free ride." She grinned and winked at me, walking in and left me to follow her.
"Its good that we made it back safe unlike the last time." She added, without turning back.
Jay Sawant! I recalled. Did I forgot to mention that Jay was a friend turned foe. When I'd lost my memory, my dreams and encounter with him forced me to think that he's a rival. But, no, not always. We were good friends. Nobody knew this, not even Erica. But something I did created the rift between us, only on the last day.
Di called me while I was riding, so I asked Ishika to attended. To my most pleasure, she found her team. A warden and two helpers.
I spotted the same guard on the door, looking everywhere but me as I crossed in. Ishika led me to her cabin, asking me to sit or do anything that keeps me occupied for a hour. My instant thoughts were to lay down and sleep.
So, I slumped on her couch, resting my head on the armrest. My mind asked me not to waste my time, that I had a lot of things to think about, past, present and future. But I shut it out and closed me eyes, snuggling more into the couch. My body was so tired, that I couldn't move a muscle.
I heard the door crack open and guessed that it was Ishika. The door closed back and clicked. Clicked? Locked? Footsteps proceeded towards me and I instantly recognized them as male footsteps. There's always difference between the sound of male and female footsteps
The sound of chair screeching against the floor echoed inside the cabin. I forced open my eyes to find Jay sitting in front of me, looking down. I instantly rose and sat up straight.
Naam lo shaitaan ka aur shaitaan haazir (Take devil's name and devil appears)
Maine toh naam bhi nahi liya tha. (I didn't even took his name)
My whole body stiffened when I noticed a gun in his hand. My gun, I recognized. He moved his thumb across the tip of my gun, before aiming it on me. My eyes widen as I took a sharp intake of breathe, yet felt like all the air was pumped out of my lungs. A drop of sweat ran across my back.
His hood was covering most of his eyes, but I could clearly see his chocolate brown eyes and feel his lethal stare on me.
I was about to use my trick on him, to snatch back my gun, when he lowered it, surprising me. My eyes never left his face, detecting each of his micro expressions.
"I'm not going to kill you." He mouthed, in a stone voice.
I wasn't going to question him about how he entered in, because we both clearly knew that he was an expert in sneaking in while I in escaping out.
Use your chance, talk to him, softly, smartly and cautiously
"I'm sorry for killing Pari, Jay." I said in a soft voice. Pari was our boss Thomas's daughter and Jay's girlfriend. Just her name resembled a fairy nor her attitude neither her work.
"Are you?" He asked, his eyes not leaving my gun. I could hardly not choke.
Say the truth.
"No." I admitted the truth. She was to kill an adolescent and me being myself, couldn't let it happen.
I don't remember when did I handed him my gun. We started off with a fight twenty months back. I then thought that he was as heartless as his girlfriend, who trained me.
