The large town clock rang through out the rainy streets. It had stormed all through out that afternoon. But it seemed to be even worse when people filled the streets. And within those streets, stood a hooded figure. Her head stayed low. The darkness of the night was the only thing keeping her covered. The clock rang again. The hooded figure knew this sound all too well. Her blue and yellow eyes looked up from the cold, wet ground, and looked up at the clock.
"3:00..." She mumbled to herself. "Heh... Witching hour once again." Just as she looked down again, screams of terror filled the wet streets.
"KILL THE WITCH!"
"SHE'LL SEND HER EVIL SPAWNS TO KILL US ALL!"
"TAKE HER TO THE GUILLOTINE!" All the people cried as two, strong, breaded man in overalls, carried a woman in red with a mask on her face to an open gate. Where there waiting for her was the guillotine... The hooded girl stood there in the darkness, and waiting for the people to carry away the masked woman. A small smirk spread on her face, but was soon replaced by a look of sorrow. She almost felt bad for the woman... Almost... She turned her head to look over the metal gate, and saw the guillotine blade rise in the air before slamming down hard with a large slash. The once screams of terror were now the cheers of the town's people as they all walked out of the gate, leaving a bloody mess behind. Seeing her chance, the hooded girl moved in the shadows to the open gate. She peeked inside. There on the ground laid the head of her former care taker, Shadow Weaver. A single tear rolled down her tan skinned cheek, as she turned away and walked down the now empty streets again.
"Hey Catra!" A voice called out to the hooded girl. She turned her head to see her friend waiting there for her. She too was wearing a hood. Catra walked over to her.
"Hey Scorpia." Scorpia noticed the tear before Catra had a chance to wipe it away.
"You okay...?" Catra grunted and turned away.
"The poor bitch never stood a chance, Scorpia. It was her own fault for being discovered in this God forsaken Kingdom!" Catra's mixed colored eyes filled with tears looked up at her friend. The whites of Catra's eyes were bloodshot as the tears dripped town her tan cheeks once again. With a wave of her large hand, Scorpia wrapped her arms around Catra's small frame, and pulled her in for a hug.
A beat goes by, and soon Catra pulls out of her friend's grasp. With a heavy sigh, and turns away.
"Let's go home..." With a small nod of her head, Scorpia soon followed Catra down the cold, and wet street. But after a moment, Catra stopped, and turned back to the metal gate. Her eyes studied it before she finally turned back around, and followed Scorpia back down the street.

There the girl sat in her castle window seal. Her long blonde hair blow in the stinging winds as the rain splashed against her young flesh. Her blue eyes were wet, but not by rain. By tears. After hearing the sounds of town's folk, she knew right away what had happened.
"Damn it Shadow Weaver... There was a reason why I left you." She whispered to herself. The wind stung her again, and she was soon on her feet. But as soon as she got up, a pain formed in her stomach. Her eyes widen, she broke in a cold sweat, fear over took her. She knew what was wrong.
"N-no.. Not again.." She whispered to herself once again. Finally standing straight on her feet, and walked out of her room, and down the stone stairs of her castle. Finally reaching the main room, she saw her two best friends. They both noticed her coming down, and smiled at her.
"Hey Adora!" The girl called out. Adora looked over at her and gave a slight smile.
"Hey Glimmer, hey Bow." She greeted them.
"Hey Adora, you wanna play with us? We were just about to get Glimmer's dad to help us build a fort." Bow asked, a large smile on his face. But before Adora had a chance to reply, she felt the pain in her stomach again. She frowned.
"In a bit, I have to go check on Swift Wind first." Both Glimmer and Bow nodded, as Adora made her way out of the castle. Putting on a silken robe, she makes her way to the back of the castle where there was a small barn, full of hay and food. She walks inside, and was soon greeted by her horse Swift Wind. He lightly nudges her cheek, and she hugs his neck.
"Hey buddy," She greeted. A sense of guilt washed over her, as she reached for Swift Wind's front leg.
"You know the drill by now, right?" Swift Wind frowned, but nodded. Lifting his front leg, Adora pulled back her hood, and opened her mouth. Her sharp fangs grew in length before sinking into Swift Wind's leg. With a small cry, Swift Wind pulled back a bit, but not enough to get out of Adora's grasp. Soon, after drinking as much as she thought was enough, she pulled out her fangs, and they retracted as if she never had them. She wiped her bloody mouth before pulling out a bandage wrap. She wet the wrap, and wrapped it around Swift Wind's leg, stopping any farther blood flow. Adora whipped her tear stained cheeks, before hugging Swift Wind's neck again.
"I'm sorry buddy, you're a good boy." Swift Wind smiled at Adora, and returned the hug she gave him. The rainy winds blew through Adora's hair again before she put the hood back on. Turning out the barn lights, she left Swift Wind to sleep, and walked back to the castle, feeling ashamed of herself. She hated her thirst for blood. And just knowing the fact that she needed it, wasn't enough for her. She hated it. She would rather eat anything else but that. But she had no choice. She hated hurting her friend. She hated keeping it secret, but she knew she had no choice. After all, she didn't want to end up like Shadow Weaver.
