James sprinted as fast as he could. He didn't look back to see the creature. It charged for him with ease. He tripped and scrambled to get up. The footsteps got louder by the second. He got back on his feet but screamed as he was grabbed by sharp teeth. "PLEASE!! NOOOOO!"

Crunch

Crunch

And finally the choking sounds of death taking over....

Roger purred as he brushed through his lovers messy hair. "You look stunning, James." He cooed at him as the bristles comed through the raven hair. James looked at him and suddenly licked his nose. Roger looked at him and smiled. "You're too cute!!!" He gushed and hugged him close. "My fuck you are adorable!" Roger squealed loudly.

The constables found the mangled corpse and shuttered. Constable Rosetti vomited from the foul stench alone. Sargent Gainsborough stared in horror. "What could have done this....?" He said softly as Rosetti emptied his stomach into the grass. "W-whatever it is...its not friendly." Rosetti said as he tried to catch his breath. "Well, this information cannot go public." Gainsborough said as he examined the remains closer. "What about Helen Faraday? Doesn't she deserve to know?" Rosetti asked as he wiped his mouth on his coat sleeve. "That is up to doctor Verloc." The Sargent began to put the remains into a body bag. "We need to leave before we find out who or what did this." The Sargent picked up the bag once he shut it. The two bobbies headed to the labs.

Verloc examined the remains eagerly. "I'm glad you at least found him.....kind of." Verloc scraped off a chunk of goo and put it on a slide to look under the microscope. "Im positive that no human caused this though." He examined the slide once he took off his glasses. "But there's only humans in all of Wellington Wells!" Rosetti exclaimed. "The garden district is full of more then just downers. Why do you think we keep it locked up?" Verloc asked as he wrote notes down.

Faraday pushed past the bobby and burst into the room. "Ma'am!!" Constable Taylor said in an upset tone. "I know that you found James!! Where is he!!?" She said in distress. Verloc pointed to the mangled skeleton covered in bile and blood. She stared at it in horror and her eyes widened. "He's right there." Verloc put his glasses back on and continued his notes. "T-that can't be him!!" She cried out in anger and sadness. "The dna says otherwise." Verloc stated bluntly as he got blood into a vile. He handed it to Doctor Nightshade. "Run tests on this, you need to get every result on paper." Verloc instructed before the doctor left with the vile.

Faraday dropped to her knees and cried. "Look, I know its hard. You're not the one who has to touch it. But you need to keep your mouth shut over this. Unless you want to tell Roger Bacon that his friend got slaughtered and eaten." Verloc said as he looked down at her. "N-no....this isn't real!!! IT CAN'T BE REAL!!" She cried out. "Oh but it is, it's not even the first body to come in like this." Verloc said with a sigh. Faraday froze up and looked horrified. "What do you mean...?" She asked in fear. "This isnt the first mangled corpse. But you will not be given more information. Seeing how useless you can be." He scoffed at her. "Now, pick yourself up and accept it." Verloc hissed at her. She slowly stood up and stared at the corpse. "What will you do with him...?" She asked worridly.

"I've got a plan in mind." Verloc stated as he offered her a box of tissues. She took one and wiped her teary eyes. "Are you going to at least bury James...?" She said before blowing her nose. "We will not be, considering we need his dna." Verloc stated. "His....dna?" She asked in fear. "Indeed, it plays a key role in the plan after all." He looked her dead in the eyes. "He will come back after all. Can't have people get suspicious of a missing person. Seeing how Roger Bacon has moped around." Verloc said as he wrote new notes.

It screamed and thrashed as it was chained down. Its mouth was wrapped in a strong wire to keep its jaw clamped shut. "This, is James." Verloc said as he showed her the creature. Faraday trembled as she saw the monster look at her. It was behind reinforced glass walls. The floor was also made to give out powerful electric shocks. "That can't be James..." She teared up and Verloc grabbed her shoulders. "Do you want to explain the corpse? Or should I?" He growled in her face and she started to cry. The creature screeched at them and tried to get to the glass panel. Verloc pulled a lever and the sparks flew. The creature screeched as the hard shocks ran through its body. Verloc reset the lever once the creature had collapsed. Faraday covered her face with her hands and sobbed. "This is the only option we have."

Roger smiled as he helped James get his socks and shoes on. James would whine and keep moving his feet. "You can't go outdoors in barefoot, James." Roger lightly scolded. James growled but let him put the shoes on him. "Thank you, James." Roger finished and they headed outside. James felt intimidated as he was surrounded by the humans. He tensed up but looked at Roger. "I love walking outside. Its nicer then being cooped up in that house all day." He smiled and nuzzled into his lover. James kissed him on the cheek and let out a purr. "My cutie pie, James!" Roger gushed over him happily. James was on high alert as they walked. He would let out low growls at anyone who talked to Roger. The man was not sharing his lover.

"He looks so sad..." Faraday said in an upset tone and was met with silence. Verloc pulled a blood sample from the chained creature. It looked at him but didn't fight. The electric shocks put it into submission. "And now for the new one." Verloc set the blood vile on the metal tray and took out a syringe of black liquid. "Don't do it..." Faraday begged in fear. Verloc pressed the needle into the neck and pushed the plunger. The poor animal started to seizure from the fluids. Verloc emptied the syringe and pulled it out of the thrashing beast. It had vomit and bile dripping from the nostrile. Seeing how its mouth was clamped shut with barb wire. "It seems the draining procedure is going better then planned." He set the syringe on the tray and took notes on a clipboard. "This is excellent."
