Part 8

A smile didn't left in Lauren's lips when she walked into her office which Ally noticed.

"I really like that kind of face you're wearing today Lauren."

"What?" she asked still smiling.

"Your face, you're smiling now, different from before, your staff will be glad if you always wear that."

"Really, huh," and she remember Camila, "it's Camila, she was the reason of my smile."

And Ally smiled, "that was good to hear, you're beginning now Lauren, I'm glad, really glad."

"I'm still strict Ms. Ally."

"Of course, it's just that you know how to smile, your face is radiant because of your smile and I can add some more."

"What do you mean?"

"Mrs. Cabello called, since you're talking about the wedding with her daughter, she said it's time to plan it."

"Does it mean..?"

"Yes Lauren, she agreed with the deal and they're having the meeting now."

"They will not let it slip, you know what to do."

"Of course Lauren and it's all settled."

"Good."

ON the other hand the Cabello Group held an emergency meeting in the conference room. They had a heated argument. Both Mendes and Vives are pissed off of the sudden decision of Sinuhe Cabello but she slapped them with the report that Lauren give. They both fell in silence especially when the other members of the board agreed with Sinuhe and said that there's nothing wrong happened in Jauregui Corp. and plan to invest in JC. With no further explanation, both Mendes and Vives left the conference room with anger. Cabello Group is now saved by the Jauregui Corp. and Sinuhe sighed in relief.

CAMILE received a call from her mother and she was still in Lauren's condo, waiting for her to come home. She like the word home slips easily in her tongue.

"What do you want?"

"The wedding is still on pace."

"I told you I'm not getting married!" she insisted.

"Yes you are Karla! And there's nothing you can do, all is settled."

"But mo—" and she heard a dial tone, "fuck it!" and she started to cry, "Lauren..."

LAUREN received good news from Ally and she was grinning all the time. The Cabello Group shut down the Vives and Mendes Industries. They were back on track when the board members supported Sinuhe on her decision now that she had JC on her back. The news immediately spread throughout the internet and social media, Lauren was hoping that Camila didn't see it she wants to explain to her first. And the Vives and Mendes were flooding by the media tailing them all the way and the burried issues from the past have now emerge to ruin both company.

And her grinning was still on her when she was home, where Camila is waiting for her.

But Lauren's smile fades away when she Camila's sadness when she saw her in the living room sitting on the floor while her face is burried on its knees.

"Camila..?" and she didn't response, she got her attention when she touched her shoulder, "hey Camz..."

"Lauren—I mean Ms. Lauren, you're here oh the dinner," and she got on her feet but Lauren stopped her by grabbing her arm and she look at her.

"Dinner can wait or we can eat outside," and she gently pulled her down back to her side, "come on sit down," and Camila let her, "what's wrong hm?"
