Dark Past Unfolds and Promises

Rogue's POV

Everything was going well and I still haven't recovered from what happened to me the time that we used to go to my village has already caught up and the time when Esdeath was helping me recover and now she has things to do and left me here alone for some time now

I was walking down the corridor now wondering how things just fly before my eyes

I decided to visit the quarters of Jaegar's

As I get near I opened the door and the heavy atmosphere welcomed me

'It seems they haven't recovered from the loss yet, especially Wave'

I tried to lift them up "Good morning Wave-san" I tried my best to smile

He looked at me and nod while giving me a sly smile

The only thing that can be heard was Wave cooking and Run writing and of course Run greeted me

I went to the window and felt a strong wind it was peaceful until I felt a familiar chakra

I suddenly was startled 'what the hell was he doing here!?' I asked myself

I tried to look for the source and Run felt my uneasiness

"Are you alright Rogue-san?"

"Ye..yeah I just felt something odd I'll go check it out" I walk to the door

"I'll go with you then"

"No, no it's fine please continue with your work" I insist and went out

I suddenly track his chakra and turned myself into shadows

'No no no his alive!'

My mind was racing my heart was beating so loud that I can barely hear my surroundings it was horrible

My eyes were aching my body was just numb as everything go back to me and how that unforgettable tragedy happened and it was also my fault

I suddenly stopped in my tracks and saw that man's face he was about to ride inside the carriage my blood just suddenly went up and my lust to kill him it was unstoppable

Flashback

"Rogue" a gentle voice came out of nowhere and I quickly find the source

"Yes, mom?" I replied with also a tender voice

She bends and reached my level she then reached for my head and pat it

"Mom will be going on a mission please take care of your little sister"

I was saddened by the news

"But don't worry sweetheart I promise you that when I come back we will go out and eat in your favorite restaurant I'll be back next month"

My spirits suddenly lift up but half of mine doesn't feel right

"Kay!" I said with the brightest smile

'Why doesn't this feel right?'

Several days passed by and weeks and finally months

I was waiting for my mom to come back every single day I was restless, my sister kept asking if mom came back but all I can reply was smile

Then finally 2 months passed by yet mom haven't come back I kept asking my dad but all he can say was she was just on a mission
