Taehyung grabs Kookie and drags him to the door, his breath quickening.
"Kookie, I'm kind of nervous... Are you sure we should do this? What if our unplanned but also jjang jjang man bboong bboong Namjin idea doesn't work? I don't want to force them... "
"It's fine, Taetae! It's just a little acting, right? We just act like we're oblivious to... helping them get together. It's just acting, and you are amazing at acting."
Taehyung sighs. "Yes, acting. It's just acting." He takes a few deep breaths to calm himself down.
Jungkook, in return, boops Taehyung's nose and takes a deep breath right before pulling the door open. "Let's do this."
"Hi hyungs-
Oh. It's just you."

Yoongi makes a disgusted face at the bunny eyes looking disappointedly at him.
"What do you mean, 'It's just you', maknae? Do you want your birthday gift or not?"
Jungkook laughs awkwardly and replies, "Oh haha, hi Yoongi hyung. Sorry, come right in. I just wasn't expecting you for a few hours. It's kind of... you know... early in the afternoon, so I thought you'd be asleep."
"Brat." Yoongi commented as he walked inside. "I thought I'd wake up early for once since it was your birthday and-" he pauses to see an upside down Hoeseok on the sofa. "What is going on and why is Hobi sitting like that?"
Hoseok sheepishly sits back up onto the couch. "I- I was trying to act casual."
Yoongi's confusion multiplies. "Why the flip - pun intended, like seriously Hobi, why are you flipped upside down? - do you need to act casual?"
The rest of the members giggle nervously. You see, Yoongi is a realist. While the rest of them focus on the best outcome of their evil and yet-to-be-planned scheme, Yoongi would think of a more probable situation, or what would happen if their idea backfires. And if he knew what they wanted to accomplish, he would surely not allow them to bring Namjin together.
Yoongi stares back at the four faces looking around in a slightly panicked phase. "Everybody is so weird today. Tell me what you guys are up to-"

"Oh my gosh, they're actually here this time!"

Jungkook ignores Yoongi's questions, jogs back to the door, and throws it open to reveal a slightly pink-tinted Jin and a dimple-smiled Namjoon. "Hi Namjin- I mean Joon. Namjoon. Hi! And hello Jin!"
"Happy Birthday Maknae!" they say in unison and shower him with gifts.
Jungkook smiles to himself as he sends a small nod to a fake-confident Taehyung. Sure, he could get a million pairs of Timberlands, but the greatest gift to him is to see his hyungs together and happy.
"For realsies this time - I'm ready, Namjin. Let's get this bread."
