Sitting under a tree looking at the faint yet visible cuts on his arms, Hiei growls in anger as he knows all of those cuts were caused by him. He didn't know why he had decided to harm himself. Lately his mood will go from just your average Hiei to downright becoming angry and even violently threathening people if they bothered him.

"So what if I attacked that highschool kid? He had it coming no matter what." Hiei growled as he hits the ground.

Meanwhile at Genkai's place, Kurama arrives ready for his training session with Yusuke and Kuwabara. By the time the red haired demon arrived Yusuke and Kuwabara were already stretching out.

"Hey Kurama what's up?" Kuwabara asks.

"Nothing much." He responds as he sets his stuff down.

"Where's Hiei?" Yusuke asks as he stretches.

"He's skipping training again." Kurama says as he sighs.

"This is the 12th time he's skipped training over the last few days. That's not like Hiei at all." Kuwabara notes out.

"Hey. I know I skip a lot of my classes in school, but skipping training classes with Genkai? Not a chance." Yusuke adds on.

"One of these days he's gonna have to show up to training. After we get one I'm gonna go talk to him and see why he's been acting different." Kurama explains as he stretches.

"Yeah. Let's just hope the shorty doesn't try to attack me if he decides to comeback." Kuwabara mentions as he gets painful flashbacks from last week.

"Now that you've mentioned it Kuwabara, Hiei has been acting more angrier lately. Like yesterday, he threw a glass soda bottle at my head for no reason." Yusuke explains to his friends.

"It doesn't help that he also got suspended from high school for beating up a third year student." Koenma says as he enters the temple in his teenage form with Botan.

"Koenma? Botan? What are you two doing here?" Kuwabara asks?

"We came to drop off some lemons for Genkai. She and Yukina are going to make lemon meringue pies later today" Botan responds.

"Oooo nice! Say are the pies gonna t-?"

"Yusuke!" Kurama yells at Yusuke to be quiet.

Yusuke soon pouts and sits cross legged like a kindergartner.

"What did Hiei do now?" Kurama asks in concern.

"He beat up the student after he accidentally struck him in the head." Koenma explains.

"Kenshin Nakamura?" Kuwabara asks

"Yeah how did you find out?" Botan asks in return.

"He messaged me about it." Kuwabara says as he holds up his phone.

Yusuke, Kurama, Botan, and Koenma just look at Kuwabara in confusion but don't bother to answer to him.

"You see I was gonna transfer him to a troubled teens school....until I checked Hiei's attendance records." Koenma says to the trio

"I understand." Kurama nods in understandment.

"Bottom line is that you need to go find and talk to him Kurama and find out what's going on with him after your training session." Koenma orders Kurama.

Kurama soon nods in response as he is the only one who could fully understand Hiei's dilemma.

After 3 hours of training, Kurama goes out to search for Hiei in the forest. After 5 minutes of searching for him, he soon finds him sleeping underneath a cherry blossom tree and runs over to him.

"Hiei! Wake up!" Kurama yells as he shakes his best friends shoulders.

"Mmmmm....What?" Hiei responded annoyed and sleepy.

"You've skipped training for the 12th time this week. Is something wrong?" Kurama asks the demon.

"There's no point for me to train anymore. Not when I'm already strong like I am now." he responds as he messes with a tree stick.

"Well all of that's true, but what if something bad and unexpected happens?" Kurama tries to reason with Hiei.

"Don't try to lecture me. It's bad enough I already got suspended from school so don't try to counsel me." Hiei responds as he turns away from Kurama ignoring his comment.

"Hiei. I'm only trying to-"

"Look Kurama! Just leave me alone and get lost!" the raven haired demon snaps as he turns to Kurama in anger.

Being freightened by his outburst, Kurama sighs and has to respect Hiei's decision and leaves Hiei alone. As soon as Hiei sees the red head walk away far enough, he rolls up his sleeve and proceeds to look at his arm once again.

"Hell forbid if I told anyone what I've been through, they won't even bother to believe me." He talks to himself as he drags the tree branch in the dirt.

He then proceeds to grab his sword and slowly slice his skin open. Soon his arm begins to bleed out while he winces in pain. The demon knew that he shouldn't be doing this, but at this point he didn't care as he believed this was his coping mechanism. All that Hiei wanted was to get rid of the pain he suffers throughout his whole body and mind.
