Aria hissed at the pain on her cheek as Celine applied ointment.

"There."

Celine uttered and lay down beside her.

Celine glanced sideways and she did too. When their eyes meet, they chuckled.

"We look like a mess."

"Yeah, we do."

"I'm glad we fought. Now that I think about it this is the first time we had a fight."

Aria just smiled at that. Technically, this is their second fight but Celine couldn't possibly know that.In her past life, Celine truly was concerned of her well-being when her parents were bombarded with the scandals and allegations. She came to Celine's apartment just like this time. She cried to her heart's content, telling Celine how betrayed she felt. Celine tried to console her but she was an emotional wreck at that time. She couldn't help but tell off her best friend, telling her that someone as passive, stupid, ignorant and submissive like her wouldn't understand. That made Celine mad and yelled at her to get out.

Two weeks after that, Aria's face was all over the news.

"...Celine."

"hmm?"

"I'm leaving."

Celine sat down in shock. She looked at Aria still laying down.

"I'm sorry for saying this out of nowhere."

"B-but why? Couldn't you just stay here? I swear I won't tell anyone about you and he will definitely be against you leaving."

Celine started to cry again and she got up and hugged her sobbing mess of a best friend.

"I can't."

"You're so unfair. Just when I decided to finally stand up for myself, you're suddenly leaving?"

"There's one more thing I didn't tell you... Celine..."

Aria sighed before dropping the bomb.

"I'm pregnant."

"..."

"..."

"WHAT?!"

---

Celine was still waving her hand even though the cab Aria was in was already gone. Last night was an emotional roller coaster ride.

She still couldn't believe it.

She was even more confused at Aria's sudden actions. The latter made her promise not to tell anyone of the pregnancy. She tried to reason with Aria that leaving will cause more problem but her best friend already made up her mind.

"If you really want to know why, wait for a while and the answer will reveal itself." Aria told her.

Instead of making her wait, shouldn't it be better for Aria to tell her herself?Or is the answer too much of a burden even for Aria?

What's more, Aria asked her to cut her hair.

Didn't that guy loves Aria's long wavy hair?

Just what on earth on was she missing? She just keeps getting more and more confused the more she tried to seek for an answer.

The only thing Celine could do was wait for the answers.

Celine sighed. She's too exhausted to even think. She was about to enter the apartment building when a black sedan stopped right in front of her. She frowned when two men in black suit emerged from the black car. She got scared but was soon sighing in relief when a man she recognizes very well came into view. However, that relief changed immediately as her eyes darted on those frozen pair of orbs. Like a messenger of death, his deathly aura along with his black raven hair and crimson red eyes filled the area with chill and dread.

---

Aria breathed the fresh air as she slowly study the house she bought. It's two storey with a garden in front, the area is filled with luscious greenery; trees, wild tall grass, etc. stretching for miles. There are other residents but it takes a five minute hike before reaching the nearest house... perfect place for someone wanting to lay low.

Aria caressed her stomach and smiled to herself. The wind blew and her shoulder length hair swayed along with the gentle breeze.

"Welcome to our new home."

That's all for now. I'll welcome any criticism and it would help me greatly to improve.
