Everything flashed before her eyes as she struggles to breathe. She never wanted to live in such a horrible way. She wondered where it all went wrong. Her heart ached just as much as her bruised body. She couldn't even move, much less speak. Her fragile body just lay on the ground as her surrounding continues in chaos. Men shouting, gunshots, people pleading for their life, and hurried footsteps.
She was living the time of her life as part of the most prominent family. Despite living in seclusion, as per wish of her parents, she was proud of them. In fact, only two people know that she is the only child of the so famous Colberts.
Her mother who is famous for her fashion lines and her father, an aspiring politician. It was all going well. She was at the top of her class, she had friends, she had a love life but it all came tumbling down in just one night.
The next thing she knew, she was living on the street, her friends abandoned her even her best friend; one of the two people who knew of her being a Colbert. Her best friend revealed that she is the only child of the Colbert power couple. As a result, she was ridiculed everywhere she went. She was left all alone after her parents committed suicide. That one night completely destroyed her life.
She could feel it. Death is near but before she could close her eyes, she felt her body rose and heard a familiar voice begging her to hold on. She felt a warm liquid on her cheek. This person was crying for her. Her heart quenched for someone still cared for her. But who is this person?
It doesn't matter now. She simply doesn't care for even if she wanted to know this person crying in her stead she won't even be able to utter a simple thank you. All she wanted is for her miserable life to be over.
It's fine now.
----
She gasped for air as her eyes dotted on the ceiling.
"I'm still alive?" she muttered and moved with ease.
No, that's impossible.
She couldn't simply survive. After all, she was beaten so badly she was sure she wouldn't make it and she was shot multiple times. If the beating won't do, surely the blood loss will. Looking around, familiarity stroke her mind. She's in her bedroom.
She hurriedly walked towards the gigantic mirror. Reflected there are her messy long wavy silver hair, porcelain skin, pink heart-shaped lips, and deep blue ocean eyes. What is going on? It's impossible for those events to be a dream for it felt too real. Pacing back and forth, she heard her phone ring.
She saw a message there. It's from Celina, her best friend, telling her to look up the news. Horror shrouded her whole body. With a rush, she turned on the news.
No... this can't be...

What on earth is happening?
No, that doesn't matter right now.
This is it.
This is my chance a chance to have a fulfilling life.
