Lady Potter's unknown past

Lilian Gerta Grindelwald was a beautiful little girl who was loved by most muggles around her hometown. An unusual fact about the girl was that she was a witch and happened to be the daughter of Gellert Grindelwald, the most feared dark lord of the time. The girl had an older sister whom hated Lilian, because she as the older sister was reduced to a squib, her name was Petunia Magnolia Grindelwald. 

Lilian and Petunia lived with their pure-blood witch mother, Iris Marigold Grindelwald Née Evans. Their father was in prison but had been there with the family until Lilian turned four and Petunia was five. Gellert pitied his eldest daughter for being a squib, he did love her but it was unbecoming of a pure-blood line have a child that was a squib. So, when Lilian was born, Gellert was ecstatic because not only did Lilian have magic but she had the magical core about double the size of a normal child. So Gellert gave Lilian two German names 'Lilian' and 'Gerta'.

Petunia was jealous of Lilian about, well, everything. Lilian was beautiful, Petunia was not. Lilian had the unconditional love of Iris and Gellert, Petunia did not. Lilian had magic, Petunia did not. Lilian was loved by the muggles in their home town, Petunia was ignored. Lilian had green eyes with silver specks, Petunia did not, hers were blue. Lilian's body was perfect in every way, Petunia however had a long neck, she had a horse like face and she was extremely thin. Lilian's hair was dark red with a platinum blonde streak in her hair, Petunia had dark blonde hair which was not similar to Gellert's pale blonde.

When Gellert was defeated by Albus Dumbledore by their home which at the time had been in Germany, Lilian screamed for her vati which broke both Gellert's and Albus' hearts. When Gellert was locked in prison, Albus took the Grindelwald family to Cokeworth in England to keep them safe from the families who sought revenge from Gellert's family. Newt Scamander often visited the Grindelwalds because he felt guilt since Petunia and Lilian would grow up without a father. 

When Lilian turned eleven she and her family went to Diagon Alley to get Lilian her first wand and to have Lilian meet her world for the first time. However she was not received kindly as the people took one look at her and Petunia and saw the similarities between Gellert and them, not even seeing past the fact that Gellert had fought for equality among magicals and muggles. They did not see the fact that Lilian and Petunia were only children. Wherever the family went, they were ridiculed and spat at because they were Gellert's family.

September 1st came and Lilian finally went to platform 9 3/4 quarters in Kings cross station. She was once more shunned by Petunia whom called Lilian a freak in front of so many other magicals. Lilian sat alone in the train and was avoided by the other students because who would want to be friends with the Dark Lord's daughter who'd obviously be a slimy Slytherin. 

The first years walked through the great hall towards the sorting hat. Many students were sorted to Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. For example a Lucius Malfoy went to Slytherin, Amelia Bones in Hufflepuff, James Potter to Gryffindor and Michael Blanc to Ravenclaw. "Lilian Grindelwald," McGonagall called, making the other students start whispering. Who hadn't heard of Gellert Grindelwald? And this Lilian girl was his spawn, she'd be in Slytherin for sure. 

The hat was placed on Lilian's head and a raspy voice whispered into her ear. "Ah.. I did not expect you here as your father had gone to Durmstrang, but I had the pleasure of sorting your mother Iris. I assume you want to be in Slytherin or Ravenclaw?" The hat asked. "Put me in where you think I belong," thought Lilian. "Very well.. Better be.... GRYFFINDOR!" The hat yelled the last bit to the Great hall. Almost everyone seemed to freeze, it was not possible. Why would a Grindelwald spawn be a Gryffindor? James Potter, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin just started cheering. "YOU SHOW THEM GIRL!" Yelled Sirius. "YEAH! YOU'RE NOT EVIL!" Yelled James. Remus however instead of yelling, he smiled brightly at the beautiful girl as she approached the table.

"Hi, I'm James," James smiled at Lilian. "Hello, I'm Lilian.. But you can call me Lily if you want," Lilian smiled shyly. The other Gryffindors smiled at Lilian slightly but most were wary of her. "Welcome to Gryffindor, Grindelwald," An older Gryffindor said. Lilian smiled shyly once more, which seemed to make the others relax.
