Lilian sat by her bed, her hands were crossed as she kept her eyes closed. Moonlight shone from the windows, directly hitting Lilian's delicate form. "Dear mother Magic.. Please let my Vati live a long life for Mutti's sake. Let Vati be back from that awful prison and live peacefully with Mutti, Tuney and I.. If that's not possible... I-i just want him to receive my letters and read them- that would be enough," Lilian whispered into the silent room. Sobs raked the girl's body as she tried to remember her Vati's face better, no doubt that prison must have changed him a lot. Lilian silently took out parchment and a quill. She took a thick book and placed the parchment on it. She climbed into bed and started writing, the scratching of her quill filling the room.

'Dear Vati.. I haven't seen you in years and I really miss you.. Mutti says you'll be back soon, but how long do I have to wait? I want to see you before you..... Never mind.. I got sorted into Gryffindor. Mutti was in Ravenclaw wasn't she? No doubt you would've been Slytherin- or Gryffindor if you had gone to Hogwarts.. Vati, I've been thinking of bad things.. I keep thinking of harming myself.. Am I sick? But don't worry, Vati! I'll never hurt myself 'cause I've got you and Mutti.

'Tunia got mad 'cause she's a squib while I'm a witch.. She called me a freak at the station in front of all those other people... I don't think we made the right choice in not telling her, 'cause she yelled at me for having magic.. She says I took it from her because Mutti says I have a big core. She says that when she's old enough she'll marry someone non-freakish and make sure her child get's the magic she didn't have.

Am I a bad girl, Vati? This boy named  Jacob Nott keeps telling me you're dead and he tried to shoot the killing curse at me... This other boy named James Potter helped me and then Professor Minerva McGonagall (she says I can call her Minerva in private) gave Nott detention and comforted me! I think James is cute, he's also really nice compared to Severus Snape- he's sort of my friend, I call him Sev.. There's also these other boys; Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, they're really nice and they defended me. There's also Peter Pettigrew, I don't really like him 'cause he thinks I'm evil- at least his eyes say that. That's all I had to write for now Vati.. Come home soon.

Love, Lilian'

Lilian stopped writing and rolled up the parchment after making sure the ink was dry. She put the parchment on her nightstand and crawled under the covers of her bed. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.

~~Morning~~

Lilian was sitting in the great hall next to Remus and in front of James with Sirius sitting in front of Remus and next to James. Peter was sitting on the other side of Sirius, still not completely trusting Lilian not to kill him. She ate a light breakfast as she was nervous of her first ever flying lessons. Thankfully she wouldn't be alone, but unfortunately the lessons were with the Slytherins which meant seeing Severus, Nott and Malfoy.

When the lesson started the children were standing next to each other on the left side of their brooms. "Good morning class!" Madam Hooch exclaimed. "Good morning madam Hooch," The class chorused. Madam Hooch was a tall woman with golden eyes and slightly greyed brunette hair. "Now, put your hand on top of the broom and say 'up'. Do it with feeling!" Hooch said. "Up!" James declared and the broom jumped up to his hand. Lilian looked at the broom and memories of her father and her flying around their home came to her mind. "Up," She said softly and the broom jumped up to her hand. Next went Sirius who's broom took only two tries, then Remus who's broom however slightly on the ground and finally Peter who's broom hit him square on the nose. "Are you okay?" Lilian asked kindly, however it only made Peter more uneasy. "I'm okay," He trailed off and started ignoring Lilian's presence completely.

Once almost everyone had managed to get their brooms up, Hooch had everyone mount their brooms. "Now, when I blow my whistle you all kick off the ground, rise about 20 feet off the ground, then you'll fly around a little, tilt the broom downwards and go back to the ground smoothly and gently," Hooch said, making every student nod. She then blew the whistle and everyone kicked off the ground, a couple of students failing on their first try and succeeding on their second try. Everyone went up to twenty feet and tried flying around. Peter lost control of his broom and fell, making some students scream in fright. James rescued him due to the experience he had with brooms and brought him safely to the ground. Lilian flew back to the ground with an air or elegance and hopped off of the broom. "Is he hurt?" She asked in concern. "No, just shocked," James said, shaking his head. "How did the boy loose control?" Hooch asked. "GRINDELWALD HEXED HIM!" Nott, who hadn't given up his quest to get Lilian expelled or killed, yelled. "Is this true Mr Pettigrew?" Hooch asked. "I-i don't know.. It could've been anyone," Peter stuttered. "IT WAS GRINDELWALD, SHE DID IT! PETTIGREW IS JUST TRYING TO COVER HER!" Nott insisted. "Oh shut up Nott. It is quite obvious that you are trying to get Lily expelled or killed again," Remus said. "Yeah! Everyone knows you almost shot an unforgivable at her!" Sirius exclaimed. "Please tell me if you saw anything linking Ms Grindelwald to this," Hooch said with narrowed eyes. "Madam Hooch, it was Nott who did it, he hexed the broom. He's notoriously known for trying to get Lilian killed or just expelled," surprisingly, Lucius Malfoy said this. "Thank you Mr Malfoy. Anyone else?" Hooch asked. "I saw Nott shoot the spell at Pettigrew's broom," Narcissa Black said. "Mr Nott, detention after school with me. This is your second time getting detention, don't bother Ms Grindelwald anymore," Hooch said.
