Get close to brown ground
Inspect every nook
Do you hear a sound
As you closely look
Can you find a bug
You've not seen before
Look under leaf rug
And let your eyes pour
What is that rustle
Near top of the hill
Fox babies tussle
Watch in silent thrill
See that dark shadow
Move over green grass
Look up and see flow
As buzzards en masse
What is that large shape
High up in oak tree
Our mouths fall in gape
Bald eagle we see
Dark clouds moving in
Hear thunder rumble
Feel drops on our skin
Laughing we tumble
We race for our home
Before rain can pour
Storm ended our roam
But we still explore
Inside we will find
A book that will send
A journey in mind
To share with a friend
