Chapter 3:Escaping

Danielle's POV

I walk out the room and go where he told me to. It's weird walking these halls with nobody else around. You get to think clearer and right now I think I'm going to die. Somehow I'm ok with dying, I feel less panicked and I just have this calm feeling now.

***I walk outside and sit on the bench. I honestly don't know if he was lying to me or not but here I am outside when I should be sleeping...man messed up my sleep and for what? So he can...do what exactly?

"Hey. I'm glad you came." He said walking out of the shadows. He must have been out here this whole time watching me, WOW not creepy at all!!!

"Had no choice." I said which is half true and half a lie. I actually wanted to come but I can't let him know that.

"Sure you did, you could have stayed in your room. Your curious?" He said the last statement like a question.

"Tell me what you know and maybe I will believe you...you said you could get me out of here?" I was dead serious with him. I needed to know that he wasn't just messing with me but I could tell he had some type of power. He wouldn't have been able to pull this off by himself as a citizen.

"Anxious are we?" He smirked and walked closer to me. I can now see his face. He has brown hair and light blue eyes. He's wearing a v neck shirt and some khakis. He looks about my age so not much older than twenty. His eyes are twinkling in the night and he just looks so calm and collected.

"Please." Which was more of a beg then anything and...wait...wait...wait did I just say please????? Ok I don't know what's going on anymore.

He chuckles and says "I'm going to kill the most powerful man on earth and make things right again. I'm going to set everything right and it starts by making sure you get out of this horrible place." He opened his arms and gestures to the horrible place I've been almost my entire life, the only home I knew.

"What?" Was all that escaped my mouth. I was so confused.

"We should go." A deep voice said. To be honest I jumped a little and a man came out of the shadows. Was he just standing there this whole time? He's much older then us, I can tell but that's a little creepy just being in the shadows while were having a conversation. Stalker much?

The boy chuckled again noticing me jump. That's right I don't know his name but he seems to know me so this situation is just getting weirder and weirder. "This is Mike he's going to help us escape. I'm going to explain everything to you in the car but he's right we must go."

That put me at ease...sorta. "Ummmm...what's your name?" I asked. He looked at me curiously and laughed tilting his head a little and now I'm noticing how a piece of hair falls on his face and how his jawline looks in the moonlight...I don't really know why I'm looking at him and noticing all his features I just am. He must have noticed because he says "My name is Jake. Are you having fun checking me out?" He chuckled again and to be honest it was my favorite sound.

"What?" Was all that I could say because I feel so flustered and I don't even know why.

"Are you both done flirting cause we really need to go this is our only window to escape" Mike said looking very tired and done with life.

"Yeah sure" Jake said. He winked at me and turned around to walk away "let's go."

At that time I couldn't progress what happened cause we needed to go. When we got in the car Mike drove and Jake and I were in the backseat. When we were driving off I finally got my thoughts together. First this boy said I was beautiful and then he winked at me but whatever it's not like I care.

"Wait I'm confused." Jake finally told me what he's doing. Apparently he's the rulers son that's been in prison his whole life because his dad had an affair with this dude's mom and didn't want anybody to know so he locked him up. He said he's tired of being imprisoned and wants to kill his father and set things right. I honestly have no idea how he knows me and when I ask him he just says that it doesn't matter and I should just forget about it...like that's ever going to happen.

"I explained it like three times." Jake said looking aggravated and totally done with this whole situation.

"I know I just don't believe you." I was totally done with this whole situation. He was driving and I was in the passenger seat. We ditched Mike a coupe miles back saying we didn't need him anymore.

"I wouldn't believe myself either if I was you so its ok, trust me I know it sounds crazy." He glanced at me and then back at the road.

"It sounds completely mental if you ask me and where are we going?" I really wanted to know and I was actually really hungry.

"We are going to go visit your family." He said with a grin
