Warning, this chapter has a suicide attempt in it, if you have had a rough history with this kind of stuff I would recommend skipping to the next chapter.
I sit layed back after a slower day of work. Untill I hear Tosh calling out "hey Jack. They're back." As soon as I hear those words, I jump up and rush to the door. I see my SUV pull up and Rose and the Doctor walk towards me, looking weary. I lead Rose back to her bedroom and lead the Doctor to my office. He looks at me wearily, like he had 3 kids to look after. Never the less I keep listening, even when he had absolutley massive yawns between speaking. I even laughed a bit when he mentioned the Jackie Tyler slap to the face mark 2. "Oh Doc, how I wish I could have been there to see that." He gives a slight chuckle and looks at the wall behind me.
I rub my eyes sleepily, "Is there anything els-"
"You wouldn't have guessed she'd ever lost her memories." He says through sobs. "I-I guess thats just what it is with amnesia. you loose who you are and you have to act like everythings okay. But when I look at her, I mean really look not just glance, I can't help wondering how much more she can take before she cracks." I listen closley as I can see him holding back tears. It reminds me of the first time I saw him, when he lost Rose in the parralell universe. "I-I can't loose her again Jack, I-I can't, I-I-I-."
He sounds like he's begining to crack. Maybe this game of charades is going on for too long. I look at the framework of my door before looking at the Doctor who is leaning back into the chair, about to have a mental breakdown. "Hey Doc." I put a hand on his shoulder. He's breathing heavily, as if he'd just been on a 100 K run. I squeeze his sholder softly and pull him into a hug, this is the first time I've seen him this bad before... He's never this emotional. But I can see why, I loved Rose, like a sister, but the Doctor, the Doctor just loves her, a lot, and he never got to say it. We stay like that for a wile before his breathing slows and is now calm. "Hey Doctor." I pull his head up, he looks so tired. "maybe you should get some sleep. I mean like real sleep, with no drugs, okay?" He just nods, get up and walks to his room silently. I sit in the seat he was sitting in for a while, before I go to my own room. I don't fall asleep straight away. I just lay there, staring at the roof, wishing a miracle would happen...
I wake up with a start to someone screaming. I bolt out of the bed with Ianto next to me, his face showing as much worry as mine. It was Gwen's voice with a very loud "OH MY GOD!" Ianto, Owen and I race to the kitchen to see the doctor sitting in the corner with one knee propped up and big gashes on his wrists and one on his throat. He's holding a knife in his right hand and his head is drooped, his forhead resting on his knee. "Doctor? Doctor what the hell have you done!" I yell as Owen pushes me out of the way to examine the Doctor. "We need to get him to the lab if he's going to survive" "No please. Jack I- Just let me die. No more cheating death, no more regenerating. Just let me die-"
"I don't think so." I say sternly as Owen starts shouting out what he needs. "Tosh get me the sedative, and a 200ml needle." Owen say softly to avoid the Doctor over hearing. Tosh comes back and hands Owen the bottle and needle. The Doctor looks up, but dosen't seem to notice the needle. I brace him as Owen gives him the shot. He starts struggling and Ianto and have to pin him to the wall to stop him moving and making things worse. after about 2 minutes and a lot of "Doctor hold still!" And "You'll only make it worse, just calm down!" 's he finally seems droopy and passes out. I lean my head on the wall next to him but get up quickly to help Owen. "Jack you get his legs, I'll get his arms and try to stop the bleeding." I nod and grab the Doctors legs. Owen directs me to the lab and I put the Doctor on the examination table. Owen kicks us all out and gets to work.
"JACK HELP!" I hear Owen's voice scream. I leap out of bed telling Ianto to stay there and go back to sleep. "I'll be back in a minute promise". I kiss the Welsh man on the head and run down stairs missing the last step and crashing into a table. "JACK THIS IS NO TIME TO FOOL AROUND! I NEED YOUR HELP NOW!!!" I pull myself together and run into the medical room to see the doctor screaming and trying to breathe. Instinctively I run up and push the scared Doctor back on the medical table while Owen gets more sedative. "Owen put some retcon in it will you." He merely nods and combines the two liquids and stabs the Doctors leg with the needle. He leans back on the bed and is back in his deep sleep. "Thanks for calling me Owen." I say, he just nods and keeps on opperating whils I go back to my room and slip into bed next to Ianto and he holds me close as I fall asleep in his embrace.
Hey guys, so I've fixed up the chapter so it has a bit of a "happier" ending than to before. Also sorry if this chapter offended some people, but there is a warning that clearly says, Don't like Don't read at the top of the page. (well it's a bit clearer now). Also, please don't get any wierd ideas from this story. As you already know IT IS JUST FICTION. Please don't hate me for saying this, but I've heard stories about people doing strange things because they saw a movie or read a book. But for all the Janto shippers out there, I tried to make the last part cute ;) If you want I can put some Janto into this story. Just to see what happens behind the scenes when the Doctor and Rose go out. Maybe that'll be a sequeal, I don't know. But we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
And also sorry for such a late update. I'll try to update more often, but I have had heaps of homework latley. I'll do my best with the other chapters and try to get them out sooner.
