Chapter 2

Mia's POV

"Hey Mia, wait up." Jessica called after me as I walked down the hallway. I didn't know how to behave or act around Jessica and the others anymore, after what Jackson told me, I didn't know what to believe.
"What's up?" I asked casually, Jessica had long blond hair and pale flawless skin, to say the least, she was beautiful, but I didn't know whether or not her heart was the same.
"Apparently The headmistress wants to talk to us, i was just gonna head there now." She said calmly as if it were no big deal.
"Okay, I'm coming." I replied as we both walked to the headmistress's office. Once we got there, Jessica knocked loudly on the large wooden door that had a few dents in it and had hundreds of scratches.

"Come in." The headmistress yelled from the other side of the door. Jessica and we gave each other worried looks as we pushed the door open and stepped inside. The group of 5 was standing behind the headmistress, one of them gestured for us to shut the door, I complied, as the door shut it made a loud squealing noise. After it was closed, Jessica and I stood next to each other facing them. They were all wearing casual clothes, unlike most of the time where their wearing green and red suits. I don't know exactly why they wore them, but everyone just tended to roll with it, so I did the same.

"Thank you for coming, you see, everyone behind me is part of the schools team known as the protectors. But as of last week Kate, Jack and Hayley have asked to withdraw from the team, so I need two strong and powerful girls to fill two spots, the other spot will be filled by Jake who I will talk to later." The headmistress continued "so do you except the offer?"
"What become superhero's?" I asked confused.
"Yes." The headmistress clarified. I looked at Jessica who looked like she was a little confused. That's when the thought came to me, these people helped us when Jackson and I were trapped by Gorge, maybe if I join, I could find and help Jackson.

"I'll do it." I said standing up strait. I could feel Jessica's stares from beside me, out of the corner of my eye I could see a slight smile.
"I'll do it too." She said copying my stance.
"Very well, This is Calum and Pete, they'll tell you everything you need to know." The headmistress said while gesturing towards two boys in the group, the only two boys I hadn't met in this group.

Jackson's POV

I walked into my bedroom in human form, it was quiet and dark, just the way I liked it. I could see in the dark, but the sense of it there alone made me happy. I shifted into wolf form and ran 1km into the room, I came across a deep cave, it was my den. I walked inside and found the bed I made from leaves, dirt and sand. I laid down comfortably and shut my tired eyes.

8 months later

Mia's POV

"We found some evidence to where Jackson might be" Pete said calmly.
"What? Where is he?" I asked determined. After all this time, I still haven't given up on finding Jackson, it was the only hope I had left in life.
"We found a guy who works for a guy who works for Gorge. Apparently Gorge has a kid who can turn into a wolf, ring any bells?" Pete said sarcastically
"Jackson's with Gorge?" I asked, full of fear.
"Yeah, we think so." Pete continued
"Well we have to save him." I said with slight urgency.

"Look I don't think we should rush this, from what I've heard, Jackson's not like you remember." Calum spoke up. He was leaning against a bench with his arms crossed.
"What do you mean, how has he changed?" Jessica said standing up from a chair. She really seemed interested in what he meant.
"Well, our source says that Jackson's working for Gorge, willingly. He also said that a man tried to cross Gorge so Jackson killed him." Calum continued. "Our source won't give us anymore information besides from that, so we're just gonna have to work with what we got but that's still risky."
