Even visiting her again seemed too tender for my heart to handle. But I decided to stay strong.
I walk to the her office greeting my peers on the way with a bright smile for a distraction. I open the cabinet door before mentally preparing myself.
She looks up immediately at the sound of the door opening and then focuses on her work. "There are list of some projects that Mr. Gim would like you to assign to the interns. Choose any of them for the same." I say formally.
"Hmm. Please keep them near the table containing yellow files. I'll look into them and let you know." She says without a hint of emotion nor looking up from the laptop.
Damn you.
I curse her under my breath as I keep the files and turn to leave the room.
She looks up and calls "Ah, Jungkook!" I turn to face her on hearing my name.
"Please call RM for me. I'm still not getting any luck with my sister."
"What?" I unintentionally ask. I zip up thinking she wouldn't probably not answer me.
"Ya, I heard he is close with my sister." She finally looks at me who is standing dumbfounded by the door.
"My sister doesn't want me as her eonni. She says I'm too strict and ran away two weeks ago..." She says as she shuts down her laptop. "So I want to know how she is doing."
I look at her dumbfounded.
"Please call him when he is free."
Did she just say all of that so casually? Why though?
"You may leave, Jungkook."
"Why tell me?" I ask myself more than to her. I see her cutely tilt her head in confusion.
She stands and walks up to me. "Didn't you say that I was too conservative? You said you wanted to know about me. To know why I rejected you, right?" She says close the distance between us.
I gulp as I calm my beating heart backing up against the cabinet door.
"Mr. Jeon Jungkook, I am willing to share my secrets with you. I hope it will be fruitful for you and to me and not for the worse." She smiles opening the door behind me and leaves.
While I stand there left wondering-
Why this change of mind?
