I've been having a bummy ass day cause níggas wanna try me and I'm tryna hold back but this is me right now:
The only thing that turned my day around was an elderly white woman, named Ms. Sarah in my neighborhood... that her elevator may or may not, go up all floors, but she's as sweet as can be.
I normally just keep it to a smile and wave at her, because I'm an introvert that don't like to start conversation upfront.
My mom came to me and asked for me to help with the internet at her apartment. Normally I'd decline cause I'm not as tech savvy despite me being the young age I am, but I wanted to try, and I don't like disrespecting my elders. That shìt takes years off your life 😬
So I go down the sidewalk three apartment complexes down and see her standing at her door, and I ask her if she needed help with her internet, yada yada...
I go inside and see her tablet already pure up to the problem. It takes me a few minutes to see what the problem is, and successfully, I fix the problem.
She gives me a big hug and a kiss, and gives me a soda. She said she couldn't give me money because she was poor.
Honestly, I felt that too.
I wasn't asking for anything in return, I was just glad to help her, then she comes to find my mom to tell her that I solved her internet, who was at the garden.
It's hot as hell and I don't want no elder out here in this heat, but she pulled me by the arm and led me to the garden where my mom was.
She's such a sweet lady. I admire her a lot because she gave off a good vibe, cause most of my elders out here... I can't say the same thing for them.
But anyways, me and her are searching for my mom, and she's going up the stairs, stepping over ladders and glass spread all over the place, and I'm like, ma'am, please be careful, you're making me nervous.
We find our mom and Ms. Sarah thanks her and thanks me again, and she said she would escort me back to my apartment building. My mom said to hurry because we had a UPS package coming.
After hearing that me and Ms. Sarah head back, and see the UPS truck come the hill to our apartment. All of a sudden Ms. Sarah pulls my arm and starts sprinting towards the truck.
I'm like Ms. Sarah you don't have to run! I'm feeling hella bad cause I got a frail old white woman running down a package for me. I'm grateful, yet worried.
After stopping the UPS man and getting the package, Ms. Sarah walks me back to my apartment, and thanks me again, hugs me, and heads back to her apartment.
So basically I made a friend today. At least that's what she called me.
This was a little boring story but doing all of that for her really warmed my heart. And that soda really cooled me down ☺️
