For anybody that is under the age of 22 and are in college, whether it's 4 year, 2 year, technical school, art school, online, or vocational, I'm so proud of you guys and you guys are the bomb.com to continue your education for whatever career you intend to go into.

Now me on the other hand, it's a whole different story.

When I first graduated high school, I took a year break before I started looking for colleges that fit me. Over the course of two years, I have either been financially unstable or it was just not the right time to go to school.

What a lot of people don't understand about going to school is that you have to be STABLE. You can't just go to school and everything will fall into place. Being financially prepared is a big thing because I wasn't fortunate enough to have someone help me pay for school, and relying on financial aid isn't always good either.

Looking at my classmates now that are in school, half are doing well cause they have relatives or peers that care for them, and the other half are pinching pennies, eating noodles everyday while writing essays all night.

One of my classmates in a 4 year college just got back from a trip to Mexico with her boyfriend! I know damn well that's not a sponsored school trip! (Notice how jealous I sound in this paragraph)

I have went to 2 schools in Atlanta where they told me financial aid will pay for some of it, but I will have to pay $400-500 dollars a month to pay off my balance, which was gonna be like $20,000. That's a lot of damn money!

On top of that, I still have bills to pay, rent, lights, phone bill, food, and other utilities needed for comfort. I worked in a deli during the time, and y'all know food service workers don't get paid that much, so I said fùck it, I'll go to school whenever I feel like I'm stable enough to handle the load.

Plus, I've been looking at schools that don't mind test score such as SAT & ACT. I didn't take any of those tests in high school cause I was being lazy. I did okay in school though. I had honors and AP classes, but I didn't do excellent in them. I had the average grades in those courses.

Since I'm not so smart, my plans were to go to a creative arts school such as SCAD or the Art Institute... but them prices though... Who the hell is going to pay $100,000 for a nice ass piece of paper saying I know what I'm doing in this and that?

I get tired of people asking me when I'm going to start, cause it's been three years, and it's starting to bother me a bit. I'm just as aggravated as everyone else because just when I think I'm about to start a semester, I have to either push the start date back or cancel it completely.

I also know it's never too late to go to school, which is why I'm starting to plan my personal goals out for the rest of this year and next year according to how stable I am, what I need to work on more, and my own little personal goals in life I have.

Since I work at a school, the best bet is for me to start school in the summer, and switch to late night classes or online when I start back working in the fall.

Wish me luck on that, and I'll pray that everyone gets good grades and graduate ❤️

P.S: Speaking of college, go ahead and read my book I'm a Lady! It's about a college girl who's a tomboy tryna change her ways. I'm updating it real soon, so keep an eye out!
