Percy knew he had feelings for the son of Hades. He always had. He'd just never admitted it because he didn't want to upset Annabeth. Dear gods, Annabeth would kill him if she found out about this. Every moment of the day he thought about him. He could stare into his dark brown eyes and run his fingers through his black hair all day. If only he could.

{Later that day}
Percy had found Nico sitting alone by the campfire. Its flames burned black. Nico was crying.
"What's wrong Neeks?"
"I'm all alone Percy, no one likes me. I'm not worth anyone's time. I'm a burden to everyone," Nico said sorrowfully.
"That's not true," Percy had said.
"Oh yeah sure. Wait? Percy are you saying what I think you're saying?"
"Yes, Nico. You're my ghost king, and I love you."
