Dr. Strange's POV

Reality is strange, no pun intended.

It's shocking how fast things can veer into a different direction, how a seemingly small action changes fate. How your relationships, your day to day life, changes over each timeline.

There was a knock at the door. "Strange? We need to talk." Steve said with undertones of worry. I sighed and opened the door, saying, "This is about the fights, yes? And their disappearances?"

Steve nodded tightly, his eyebrows furrowed. "Come in." I said, offering him a seat at the table. He sat down, fidgeting slightly. "You want to talk about the timeline?" I said, sitting— or well, floating— down to my seat. "Do we win? What happened to them? Are they both safe?" Steve said quickly, jumping up.

"...You know I can't answer all your questions without disrupting the course of things, Captain." I said, waiting for him to settle down. He finally sat back down, composing himself and saying, "Will we win? On the course we're on?"

"That I cannot say either Steve, you know this. We have a chance, but there are only 5 realities that we win, and 4 out of those 5 aren't pretty. This isn't going to be easy." I said, closing my eyes for a second.

"How many realities did you see?" Steve said, leaning forward.

"1003453791. And they weren't good." I said, opening my eyes again.

"... I'm worried about them. Whoever fought 3 days ago, that was not them. I know it." Steve said, determination in his eyes to prove his teammates innocence.

"We cannot be certain. And the public seems inclined to disagree. Are they still rioting?" I asked, watching as Steve deflated. "Yes," Steve said. "Most of them, anyway. The rest of the team is in shock. None of us know what's happening."

"Natasha is looking into everything she can, searching for answers. Bruce nearly hulked out. Wanda and Vision have been scouring the globe. Rhodey has been away for a while, but we're sure he's looking too. We're all on edge." Steve said, his eyes clouding with worry.

"... Dark times indeed, you can say." I said solemnly.

3rd Person POV

   "... ngh..." Tony awoke slowly.

6 days. That's how long they've been trapped. (Thats 4 days after the fight, and two days after their kidnapping.)

The issue is, they have no clue what's going on.

Peter sat up, seeing his mentor slowly awaken again. This cycle had gone on since they were taken: Peter would take watch (Much to Tony's displeasure), Tony would take watch, they'd eat in between. No one came. There was food, sure, but it was pushed through the door. They both tried to escape that way on the first day, but...

Well, that didn't go so well.

So that was that. No one came, except for whoever was giving them food. And to be honest?

   That scared both of them.

What could their kidnapper be doing? Would they come unexpectedly? What's going to happen to them? All thoughts that plagued their minds.

Tony felt exposed. He couldn't snark at his kidnappers, because no one came. He couldn't tell how bad the threat is, so he felt completely unprepared. Worst of all... they brought his kid into this mess.

The only thing significant that has happened so far is there was a bunch of incoherent yelling and other things from outside a day ago. The kidnapper, whoever they were, wasn't happy about something. Peter couldn't hear what was going on, even with his advanced senses.

"Hey kid... no sign of rescue?" Tony asked, sliding down next to Peter. Peter, looking weary and tired, shook his head. "What are we gonna do, Mr. Stark? No ones coming. We don't know what they're doing." Peter said, looking up at his mentor. "They could be hurting people. They could be hurting my friends, or May or-"

"Stop, stop, stop. Shhh..." Tony said, putting and arm around Peter and bringing him to his side. "May and your friends are gonna be fine. The others probably moved them somewhere safe. Besides, these guys are probably amateurs. We'll be out in no time, got it?"

Peter leaned more on Tony. He was terrified. Absolutely terrified of what could happen. "Okay." He said anyways, letting himself be comforted.

Tony then said, "Hey, what do you say when we get out of here, we take a nice long vacation?"

   Peter laughed slightly and nodded.

The moment of peace was short lived though, as the door opened, revealing two burly men. "Well, well! Finally decided to show your faces huh? How sad you didn't earlier-" Tony stared, standing up and putting his hands in his pant pockets.

"I'd watch your tone, Stark, or else the boy will suffer for it." One of them said.

That shut Tony up pretty quickly.

"Up. Don't try to escape, or the boy gets it. If the boy tries to escape, you'll get it. Both of you will suffer if you both attempt to escape, even if you succeed." The other said, gripping on to Tony's arm tightly.

"What do you mean- hey!" Peter said as he was forced up. The other man growled, "Shut up kid, if you know what's good for you."

Tony felt his lips curl into a sneer at the mans words to his kid. He sent the man his best death glare, but the man ignored it as he forced Peter out, the one holding Tony following suit.

Tony counted his steps, looking for a way out. 'Twenty steps forward... left turn for 12 steps... right turn for 3 steps... forward 8 steps...' He counted as the men walked. They soon reached a door, to which they opened it to a dark room. A small wooden table sat there, along with 3 chairs, and one light hanging form the ceiling.

"Good evening, gentlemen." A voice said from behind the chair in the back, shrouded with darkness.
