Sakura had gotten Hinata to calm down, and booked her an ultra sound appointment for the first thing the next morning. Before either knew it, Sakura had placed some gel on her friends' stomach.

"Don't worry, that's the worst that will happen. It doesn't bite." She joked when she noticed Hinata shiver from the cold. Sakura placed the scope over her slightly protruding stomach. She already knew what the answer was going to be, but wanted to visibly show her.

"I don't know how this happened." Hinata put her hands over her face. They were newly weds, and wanted to wait at least a year before even starting to have kids.

"I have my suspicions."

"Oh, You know what I mean." Hinata looked at her friend, hands gripped tightly together. She knew Naruto would be excited no matter what it was, but she didn't want to say she was pregnant then it not be true. Sakura looked at the screen, the little bean dot right there proud and big. Taking a photo, she turned the screen so Hinata could see. She pointed to the future Uzumaki, smiling wide.

"Well, you are pregnant. We'll get you some blood tests and make a formal appointment with a colleague of mine-"

"I want you to be my doctor." Hinata looked worried.

"I can't be your official doctor, it's against regulations. But I will be with every step of the way, I promise."

"You won't leave me?"

"Hinata. Babies are what I'm good at." She joked, handing her a towel to wipe her stomach.

"Call me when your appointment is all set up okay?" Sakura waved to Hinata, the smile non removable from her features.

"I will." She waved back, before turning and walking over to her car. Sakura rubbed the back of her neck, the early morning visit, and sleeping on her friends couch didn't do much to help prepare her for the day.

"Coffee..." She mumbled. Turning on heels, she spotted Sasuke walking over to her. Sakura couldn't stop the blush rising, when she thought that last time she saw him, she had kissed him. Before he got to her, his pager started to go off, along with hers. The letters ER flashed on screen, both took of running in the same direction. When they arrived, there was a heavily pregnant woman lying on the stretcher, her eyes barely open, her hands across her stomach.

"My Baby-" She kept repeating.

"What happened?" Sasuke quickly walked over, flashing a light in her eyes.

"Car accident. A trucker had a heart attack at the wheel and took five cars along with him. Her car took the brunt of the damage."

"Ma'am, how far along are you?" Sakura tried to access the situation, while Sasuke quickly went to work trying to figure out her other injuries.

"My baby-" She whispered.

"I know. My name is Dr. Sakura Haruno, I'm with Neonatal." Sasuke removed the blanket showing a giant piece of metal embedded near the uterus. She gave him a look before, turning to an intern on duty.

"Get an OR now!" She ordered. "What other injuries do you see?"

"There seems to be some internal bleeding near her ribcage, I won't know until I can get there. My biggest worry is the lower abandonment. She'll bleed out from the piece of metal first."

"Or worse someone else is." Sakura whispered. "Well, your lucky today Dr. Uchiha you finally get to be in the OR with me." she teased, trying to lighten the damper mood. Walking over to the top of the stretcher, Sakura smiled at the woman.
