Once we got to the venue, Grayson got out of the car and opened the door for me. He took my hand and closed the door after me. I went to let go of his hand, but he held on tightly.

"Stay close to me." He mumbled, close to my ear that I shivered.

"Why? We're safe right? It's Sebastian's party." I questioned, looking over at him curiously.

"You never know what will happen. Now stay by my side." He placed his hand on my waist and pulled me to his side. We went inside and I put down my present with all the rest.
Grayson's hand was still on my waist. He tugged me slightly, taking me into the main hall. There were so many chandeliers, giving the hall a golden glow. There were already quite a few people here. The tables were set out with little pastries and other foods on them. There were waiters walking around, with a tray full of champagne in glasses.

Once I had taken a closer look, I noticed that the waiters had guns in waist band of their trousers. I squeezed Grayson's arm cautiously.

"Why do the waiters have guns on them?" I asked and Grayson looked around for a moment before looking down at me.

"Like I said, you never know what'll happen." He replied before Sebastian came over to us.
He looked smart and cute, in a suit and his hair was gelled back, giving him the older look.

"Iris! You look beautiful." Sebastian said and I smiled.

"Happy birthday Sebastian." I said and hugged him. He hugged me back, but held on for too long. Grayson cleared his throat to which Sebastian let go and smiled at me once more before turning to Grayson. They both stared at each other, both of their eyes narrowed.

Grayson rolled his eyes, before he went forward and hugged Sebastian. They both did their manly hug.

"Happy birthday." Grayson said and Sebastian smiled cheekily.

"I knew you loved me really." Sebastian winked.

"Whatever." Grayson mumbled, rolling his eyes.

"Ethan!" I exclaimed excitedly as I saw him approach. I hadn't seen him in a while. His eyes sparkled as he looked at all of us.

"Iris! You look gorgeous and Sebastian you look like a beautiful birthday princess." Ethan said. I chuckled as Sebastian scowled and even Grayson looked amused.

"Should I show Iris around?" Ethan asked and Grayson butted in.

"I'll show-"

"No it's okay, Ethan can show me around." I cut Grayson off. Grayson looked surprised for a second as if he didn't expect me to go with Ethan, but he covered it up. I wanted to catch up with Ethan and ask him how he was doing.

"Yeah okay then, whatever." He said and walked off with his hands in his suit pockets.

Ethan gave me his hand and I hooked mine through his. He took me outside which seemed to be a garden.

"So, what's going on between you and Grayson?" He asked as we walked through the freshly cut grass.

"Nothing, why?" I asked, shrugging, although I knew I was lying.

"Sure looks like nothing." Ethan said and I sighed.

"Ethan, it would be too complicated for me and Grayson to actually start a relationship. First of all, I still don't understand why I'm here and I-I, I just don't know." I stumbled and Ethan looked through the open doors for a moment before looking at me. He turned me around so I was facing away from the large double doors.

"Do you like him though?" He asked, but for some reason he kept on glancing behind me. I couldn't help but turn around, wondering what Ethan was looking at.
