We had finally arrived at the hotel. Grayson got of out of the car and I quickly scrambled after him. I followed behind him nervously. We both stayed quiet and we reached our room. We went inside and I waited for him to say something, but he didn't.
"Grayson, I can explain-"
"Shut up." He said and I frowned.
"If you-"
"Shut the fuck up!" He shouted at me all of a sudden and I jumped back slightly. I seemed to be doing that a lot recently.
"I fucking trusted you Iris. Yet you still went behind my back even after you said to me that you wouldn't. You lied to me while you were standing right in front of me." He said, while clutching his hair and I gulped. I didn't realise how much of an impact this would have on him.
I felt so stupid.
"I didn't want you to feel like that. I-I just-"
He lifted his head to look at me, his eyes shining with betrayal, and my heart sunk at the sight.
Had I really made him feel like that?
"I'm sorry. I really am." Was all I could say.
"Don't talk to me Iris." He said and left the room and I fell back on the bed.
Why did I do this?
Why did I go?
What's wrong with me?
I mulled over my thoughts for ages as well as wondering where the hell Grayson had disappeared to. I hope that he wouldn't do anything he would regret.

An hour later, I was laid back back against the headboard of the bed still mulling over my thoughts, when the door opened. Grayson walked in and he seemed to have calmed down.
"Come with me." He said, not really looking at me and I frowned, but followed him. He took us to the elevator and we seemed to be going up.
"Where are we going?" I asked and he ignored me.
"Grayson I am really sorry, I didn't mean to go behind your back." I tried, but he kept looking straight ahead, not paying me any attention.
"I'm-"
"We're here." He said all of a sudden and the elevator doors opened. He walked out of the elevator, and I noticed that he seemed to be walking quite fast. I sighed, but followed. He walked to a door and knocked.
"Come in." I heard Marcello's voice and I looked at Grayson nervously.
"Why am I here?" I asked and he still ignored me. He opened the door for me, and I went inside. I expected him to say something, so I turned to gave him while I was in the room, but he left without a word, shutting the door behind him. I felt a pang or hurt hit my chest, but I deserved it.
"Take a seat Iris." Marcello said and I did as he said.
"I'm going to take this easy on you, since I know that Grayson isn't being good with you at the moment. I assume you know what I'm talking about, right?" He asked and I nodded, developing my nervous habit of fiddling with my fingers again.
Marcello's eyes dropped to my hands and nodded to himself slightly, as if he was deep in thought before looking at me again.

"I won't ask you why you went there, I'm sure you have your own reasons," he started, "but I just want to say this to you Iris, when one of us tell you do something, please listen. We're only telling you because we need you to be safe. I don't know why I agreed for you to come back here anyways, I should've made you stay in Italy with Eleonora and everyone else, until it was safe to come back. That's my mistake. Also, I'm pretty sure Grayson would be devastated as well if he lost you. At the moment, there are so many people out to get you, it's crucial that you stay safe, but we can't help you be safe if you go and make your own decisions  that go against us. I didn't want to say this to you at first, but if you do continue to go against our orders, you'll leave me no choice but to take you somewhere else." He said, his voice monotone. I nodded and looked down at my lap in embarrassment. I felt like a five - year - old kid getting told off, but I knew what he was trying to say.

Marcello opened his mouth to say something else, but his phone started ringing. He looked irritated as he answered the call, and I'm guessing he doesn't like getting interrupted.

"Ah Salvatore, what do I owe the pleasure of you calling me?" Asked Marcello, his voice sounding grim.
Marcello started frowning at what the Salvatore person was saying, but then sighed.
"Since I do owe you back, consider this as both of us at equals now." Marcello said, and smirked slightly once he heard what the other person said.
"Alright Salvatore, we'll make sure to come." Marcello said and rolled his eyes while he ended the call. He ended the call while the other person was still talking, cutting them off. Marcello placed his phone on the desk and looked at the table for a moment before looking at me.
"Tomorrow we will be attending a wedding, make sure to finish getting ready by 12. I will get Ethan or Grayson to sort out your attirement, please get ready on time, we can't be late." He said and my eyebrows shot up in confusion.
Why would we be going to a wedding at a time like this? When we're in danger?
Marcello seemed to have picked up on my mood and nodded at me.
"I understand what you're thinking right now, but I owe Salvatore Maranzono back, since he helped me last time. He's head of the Bonanno family. We don't really like each other, but we can tolerate each other."
Marcello revealed and I nodded.
"I'll need someone to follow you around and look after you, everyone knows about you at the moment, and it's important that you stay under our radar."

"How has everyone found out about me?" I asked curiously.
Marcello looked at me, his eyes piercing into mine. Although he was staring directly at me, he seemed to be somewhere else. His eyes grew cold and a chill ran down my spine.
"There's a traditore in this family." He snarled and I instantly knew what he meant.

Who would go behind Marcello's back?

It scared me as I'm usually around the men a lot.
"I'll assign Matthias to be with you tomorrow. You can go now." He said and got back to his paperwork.
"Thank you." I said and walked out of his room, closing the door softly behind me.

Everything is so messed up right now. I shouldn't have gone to the villa. I had to make things right again.

A/N:
So I did some researching and Salvatore Maranzono is a real person and the Bonanno family were an actual Italian mafia back then.
By the way in case you guys didn't know what 'traditore' means, it's means 'traitor' in Italian.
Hope you guys enjoyed!
