I woke up to Grayson shaking my shoulder lightly. I stirred, lifting my head off of his shoulder and looked around to see everyone getting up from their seats to get their luggage.

"We're here?" I asked, surprised and Grayson nodded in return.

"That was fast." I said and he rolled his eyes at me.

"That's because you were asleep for all of it." He said grumpily.

"Don't pout because you had no one to annoy." I said and his eyes sparkled mischievously.

"No, but I have three whole weeks to annoy you." He replied back and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"You two! Come on now, let's get out while we can." Said Marcello. He was grumpy because he wanted to take a private plane, but Eleonora had convinced not to go on a private plane, since there were more people coming to Italy this time and there wouldn't be enough space.

We managed to get out quickly since we were in the front and soon enough, we were checking into our hotel rooms. Me and Grayson decided to share a room together since it would save money than getting separate rooms.

I opened the door leading into the room and dropped my luggage and suitcases by the door and ran inside. I fell on my stomach on the bed, snuggling in further at the comfort of it.

"Just leave it to me to get everything then." Grayson said sarcastically as he started picking up my dropped items. I raised my head and smiled sheepishly at him.

"Oops." I said smiling sweetly at him and he shook his head, but I could see the small smile playing on his lips.

We soon got settled in and explored the streets of Italy. It was truly beautiful seeing the culture around me in different colours and the language being spoken. I couldn't believe that I was actually born here. Marcello, Grayson, Ethan, Sebastian, Matthias and a few of the other men who came with us, fit right in. A lot of people knew them since Marcello was a very important figure here in Italy. I could see that Marcello was truly happy being here. I didn't even see that man frown once!

"How are you finding Italy then Iris?" Asked Eleonora as she patted her hair which she left natural due to the humid weather.

"It's really beautiful. I could stay here forever and everyone is so happy, especially Marcello." I added in and she chuckled and put her hand on my shoulder.

"Do you actually know why Marcello is so happy?" She asked and I cocked my head at her.

"I thought it was just because he liked it here, being on holiday and everything." I said and she shook her head.

"Iris, Marcello is the head of the mafia. That means that wherever he goes, there's always a group of his men working. The mafia is actually quite big, you wouldn't believe it." She said and paused for a moment and a smile started playing on her lips. In that moment, she looked truly happy.

"But the reason why Marcello is so happy to be here is because Luna and Lorenzo are here." She said and I frowned.

"Who are they?" I asked.

"Our children." She said smiling as she looked off into the far distance. My eyebrows shot up in surprise.

"I-I didn't know you have kids." I said and she nodded.

"We haven't seen them in years but we do keep in touch. Marcello decided it was best for them to stay in Italy, so they were out of harm's way and safe. He thought it would be the best decision for their future. Luna is twenty six and Lorenzo is twenty four." She said and I nodded understandingly.
