Lex POV

"No Sasha, I'm not available for dinner tonight" I sigh into the phone.

"Come on Hunny" she begs. Her voice laced with extra sweetness. I'm getting a cavity just from talking to her.

"No" I answer dryly and hang up. I put my head down on the table and groan. Ever since I turned sixteen and didn't find my mate girls have been asking me on dates. I even go sometimes hoping for a connection but nothing ever happens. I hear a knock on the door.

"Come in" I groan. My head warrior, Conner, enters panting as if he ran twenty miles. It takes a lot to get a werewolf as strong as Conner in a pant. Meaning he probably used his top speed to get here. Also meaning this is important.

"What is it?" I ask. Suddenly alert.

"Girl. In. Cells." He manages to puff out. I relax a bit.

"And why do I care about a girl in my cells," I ask. Playing with a pencil.

"She's being tortured by Beta Henry," he says finally catching his breath.

"And..." I respond. "All of the rogues are to be question. You know this" I say. Wondering why he has so much pity for this rogue.

"Alpha with all due respect. She hasn't done anything. I found her starving with a broken leg in the woods. She didn't speak. She's terrified and smells of multiple men. She probably was running away. We don't need to have her tortured she should be in the hospital"  he rushes out. I roll my eyes.

"And what if that's what she wants you to think?" I ask leaning forward on my desk.

No

My wolf, Oz, says. Suddenly alert and awake.

What

I ask him.

Go see the girl

He commands. I roll my eyes at him and focus back on Conner who is still begging me to come to save this poor rogue.

"Fine," I say and stand. Irritated I have to leave my work. Conner smiles and starts to run. I sigh and start to jog behind him. We make it down to the cells and I smell the most delicious scent. It's raspberry and chocolate. I take a deep gulp of the beautifully scented air. Usually the smells of the rogues is enough to make me want to vomit but right now I never want to leave this room. I run to each of the cages trying to find the person with the scent. Knowing it's my mate. The farther I leave Conner in front of the fainter the smell gets until I reach an empty cell. The smell is filling it centered around the back corner. I want to sit in the corner and never move. So does Oz. But he also wants to find the person that poses this amazing smell.

I race back towards Conner who looks like he's finally figured out what's happening. He points to the torture room's door.

Fuck

Oz exclaims. I growl as I kick down the door. The scene in front of me is absolutely disgusting. I see my beta, Henry, standing above the figure of a tied down woman while Peter is holding down her arms and has her head pulled back. Henry is currently pouring water over the cloth on her face.

The beautiful scent is filling this entire room. So much so that it's almost impossible to breath. The smell is emanating from the woman thrashing in the chair.

Oz takes a break from admiring our mate and starts to attack the three men in the room. They were laughing as she flung herself around, trying to get out of their torture. Anyone laughing at my mate will die. It takes a minute to kill Peter and Mark. I look down at Henry's bloody face and grin as I tear at his throat.

Once I'm finished killing three of my strongest warriors. Conner hands me a shirt and pants to change into so I'm not covered in bloody ones. I just ignore him and rush over to the now still woman.

I'm finally able to take a good look at her. She's beautiful. Her blonde hair is messy and falls in front of her shoulders. Her lips are full and slightly open. Her cheeks are flushed from the coldness. She's wet from head to toe and I think she's only wearing a T-shirt. I growl at Conner who backs up. I turn from my mate.

"You found her" I glare. He nods. Afraid to speak. "Did you dress her?" I ask. My voice deadly calm.

"Um yes. I... she... " he stutters. I grab his neck and hold him against the wall.

"Give me one reason I shouldn't snap your neck" I threaten. He gasps for breath.

"I... told her to... shift... and it was snowing... so so I-I gave her a a shirt" he gasps. I let him go. Knowing he was trying to help her.

"Did you touch her?" I ask standing over his crumpled body still taking in gulps of air.

"N-no my scents not on her" he breathes out. I return back to my mate and find that he's right. His scent isn't on her. I relax at her smell a bit. I hear footsteps approach. I growl at Conner who has managed to stand and walk slowly towards me.

"We should get to the hospital" he suggests. His voice is trying to calm me down. I look at my mate and notice he's right. I didn't even see that she was tied up. I quickly undo the ropes and scoop my passed out mate into my arms. She's as light as a feather which worries me. She's obviously malnourished and her leg is at an odd angle. I frown. That should be healed by now. Her wolf should've taken care of that.

"When did you say you found her?" I ask Conner.

"A week ago" he responds. I frown.

"She hasn't healed?" I ask.

"Her Wolf is weak. Look how under fed she is" he observes. I nod and start to sprint towards the pack hospital. I go as fast as I can, trying to be careful not to hurt the unconscious woman in my arms.

It'll be ok my little mate.
