Angie was thrilled to be invited to the Halloween party by John. But, she soon learned that in the regular world, Halloween might be when children dress up and beg for candy, but in high school, Halloween is the one night a girl can dress as revealingly as she wants and no one says anything about it. She was wearing a bride of Frankenstein costume.
Meanwhile, in Monticello, Mary was dressed as Mimi Marquez from the musical "Rent" [A/N: Think of her outfit during the song "Out Tonight", but NOT the movie version, the Broadway verison], and her parents were taking pictures of her.
At the same time, Nelly, at her house, was wearing an outfit inspired from the musical "Chicago". Mary and Nelly met up to pick up Theodosia Burr, who was wearing a bikini top, boots, and mouse ears. Nelly immediately asked her "What are you?", to which Theo replied "I'm a mouse! Duh!"
At the party, things were awkward for Angie to say the least. She did NOT get the note about costumes, so whenever she said "Hey" to someone, they were pretty shocked to see here in a scary costume. When she said "Hi" to Nelly and Theo, Nelly spilled her drink and asked her "Why are you dressed so scary?". "It's Halloween," Angie said.
Nelly sighed and asked "Have you seen William?", to which Angie shook her head. Just then, John came up and said "Hey! You made it" to Angie, but then he was shocked to see her costume. "And you are... the bride of Frankenstein!" he said. "An ex-wife", Angie said. "Love it! Can I get you something to drink?" John asked her. "Yeah, sure", she said.
John made his way to the kitchen when Mary said "Hey!" to him. "Aw, no! Didn't anybody tell you? You're supposed to wear a costume!" John said back. "Shut up! I need to talk to you! You know that girl, Angie?", Mary said. "Yeah! She's cool. I invited her tonight," John said. "Well, be careful, because she has a huge crush on you," Mary warned him. John was curious. "Really? How do you know?"
"Because she told me. She tells everybody! It's kind of cute, actually... y'know how freshmen girls are... she writes all over her notebook 'Mrs. John Paine Madison'. And she made this T-shirt that says 'I heart John', and she wears it under her clothes," Mary told him. "Aw, come on!", John said, not believing a word.
"Well, who could blame her, I mean, you're gorgeous! And, okay, look. I'm not saying she's a stalker, but, you know how her dad is from the Carribean?" Mary asked. "Yeah," John said. "Well, she saved this Kleenex you used, and she said she's gonna do some kind of Carribean voodoo with it to make you like her," Mary said.
"What?!", John was pretty disturbed by this. Angie waved at him just then and he hesitantly waved back. "This was it. Mary said she would talk to John for me, and now she was! " she thought excitedly.
"I know she's kind of socially awkward and weird, but she's my friend, so... just promise me you won't make fun of her," Mary asked John. "Of course, I'm not gonna make fun of her!
"How could Marie hate Mary? She was such a good..." Angie thought. Just then, Mary kissed John.
"...SL**!!!!" Angie thought angrily. John and Mary pulled away, and John said, "What are you doing?! You broke up with me!". "That's crazy! The Feline of Avenue B doesn't break up with anyone! And besides, you're so hot! Take me out tonight!" Mary said to John. She kissed him.
Meanwhile, Angie was making her way out of the house, scaring people along the way. "I'd never felt this feeling before! I could hear my heart beat in my ears! My stomach felt like it was gonna fall out of my butt! I HATE MARY! I HATE HER!" She thought angrily.
