Link encountered Zelda for the "first time" after she viewed the man from the desert through a window of Hyrule Castle. Link immediately told her about the future, and Hyrule's fate. He brought up the slaughtering of Hyrule's knights, along with her father. He brought up how she would train with Impa in secret in order to obtain a new Sheikah like identity. To prove this once and for all, he showed her the Triforce of Courage that was on his hand. She told him that even without the proof, she believed every word he said.
When Ganondorf left, Link and Zelda both warned the king. He told the two children about how Ganondorf wasn't as terrible as people claimed. Link didn't have to say anything else, he just showed his piece of the Triforce, and the king immediately believed everything. Ganondorf was going to attack Castle Town with his people, and they needed to prevent this from happening. The king immediately sent some forces towards Death Mountain and Lake Jabu Jabu.
The forces at Death Mountain didn't even pass by Darunia or even enter Goron City. They bombed the sealed entrance to Dodongo's Cavern, and immediately infiltrated it. It wasn't long until they reached King Dodongo, defeating him in a matter of minutes thanks to the advice of Link. No major casualties happened, and the Gorons were able to feast once again.  The other forces made it to the entrance of Zora's Domain. After Link opened the entrance for them, he wished them luck and left. The soldiers informed King Zora that they would save his daughter and eliminate the threat inside of their deity. It took them about an hour and a half. Unfortunately there were a few casualties due to Barinade's electrical discharges, but it didn't take long for it to be eliminated. Both Gorons and Zoras had their major problems solved.
The rest of Hyrule's forces remained near Castle Town, preparing for the invasion. That night, an army of Gerudos on horseback led by their king advanced towards the bridge of Castle Town. A small war began with many casualties on both ends. Ganondorf himself took out a bunch of his enemies, and although he attacked with magic that could take out many, the number of Hyrule's soldiers were too much for him to handle. Ganondorf was weakened, and the soldiers were more than prepared. He eventually got knocked out and captured. The Gerudo had no choice but to either flee or end up dead like the others. The Hylian forces have won.
Ganondorf was brought to Arbiters Grounds, too weak to fight back. He managed to take out over a hundred on his own, but the numbers were overwhelming. He was trapped in a cell, charmed by dark magic that would prevent his escape. This was Hyrule's prison that held the worst criminals imaginable. A majority of the criminals were serial killers and enemies that were feared during the Civil War. The prison was once a temple of worship for the Gerudo Sand Goddess, along with being an area where they would train. Hyrule wasn't on the best terms with the Gerudo, and immediately took hold of the area, forcing the tribe to relocate deeper into the desert. The most horrifying job in Hyrule was being a prison guard here, in fear that a fate worse than death could occur. Many criminals not only killed, but tortured and hexed. It was a job where you felt lonely, and not very secure. Guards have died even when the prisoners were behind the bars, unconscious, and chained. It was a very well paid job, but for a very dangerous price. Ganondorf was held in the deepest cell, and already a couple guards were found dead. Extra magic had to be used to contain him. He was the most dangerous criminal Arbiter's Grounds has ever contained.
