Plans for the Gerudo

Three years have passed since Link returned to Hyrule. The day of Ganondorf's sentence to be carried out was now. As if it were a divine prank, the Triforce of Power appeared on his hand when he was seconds away from death, saving him and allowing him strength to break free from the chains. After the murder of the water sage, the others had no choice but to seal him inside the Mirror of Twilight. He may have been spared from death, but he was trapped, preventing Hyrule from entering an age of darkness. They decided to keep this a secret, in fear that the Gerudo might see this as a moment of hope for their tribe. They have failed to invade, but believing that their king is immortal and godly might be enough to rally them. Even if they did lose, the sages would fear for the casualties of the innocent. Little did they know, a spy was not too far from the Arbiters Grounds.

Nabooru caught the spy heading into their hidden town not far from Gerudo Fortress. Nabooru was a high ranking Gerudo, but strongly despised Ganondorf. She managed to influence a few other members of the tribe that she trusted, but decided to stay on the down low for the most part. A day later, all of Gerudo Town knew about Ganondorf's failed execution, and how he was imprisoned within the mirror. Many thought of him as a god, one you could not slay. Having the Triforce of Power appear to him out of thin air reinforced this.

While many Gerudo wanted to start a war, a majority thought it would be best to plan this out for a few years before taking action. Even Koume and Kotake, the temporary leaders, agreed to this. They might be powerful and sadistic, but they certainly weren't stupid. They knew that Ganondorf surpassed them in the arts of black magic, and if it weren't for the Triforce of Power, he would have been killed. The guards were trained with all sorts of weaponry. There were many mages with magic nearly on the same level as theirs. Not black magic, but enough to kill. If a direct attack happened, they would deal not only with Hyrule's military, but the Guards and sages of Arbiters Grounds if the worst were to happen. The two witches decided that the best they can do is recruit more monsters for their army, rather than just the Gerudo. It would have been what Ganondorf wanted after all.

Nabooru decided that Gerudo Valley just wasn't the right place for her small resistance. She came up with an idea. Later one night Nabooru and her followers took some of the mothers and small children far away from Gerudo Valley. They would break apart from there and start a new life on the outskirts of Hyrule. Nabooru decided it was time to quit the thieving lifestyle and start trading with people from nearby countries. Maybe even live in these countries if war ever breaks out in Hyrule. Nabooru believed there would be a day when their descendants can return to Gerudo Valley once things tone down, and possibly restart a friendly relationship with the Hylians and other races.

As Nabooru and her people trekked through the desert, they came across a tribe of different desert dwellers known as the Zuna. Luck was on their side, for the Zuna were peaceful, and accepted the resistance to live amongst them for now. Nabooru's dream went off to a good start. While Ganondorf's people fade away over time, her's would be the start of a new Gerudo era. The culture was going to be rewritten. They decided to have only women live within their future town, but one thing was for sure. A boy born every century will not be king from this day forth.
