Saya's P.O.V

We had all gathered outside of the woods. The dead bodies were laid in a single file all next to each other, it was just so we could work out who we had lost and how many. I was stroking Harley's mane attempting to calm myself down. I never usually got emotional over deaths but all of a sudden Petra's had really gotten to me. I barely even knew her.
"Saya?" Akane laid her hand on my shoulder. "Are you ok?" She asked, her voice was laced with concern. I looked at her my expression emotionless. I wasn't prepared to show her my weakness.
"I'm fine." I replied insistently. Akane looked into my eyes and I already knew she could see through my facade. She always had been capable of seeing through me no matter how hard I tried.
"Seriously Saya? You don't need to hide things from me. I'm here to look out for you. I know you better than anyone so please don't hide from me anymore." Her eyes looked pleading and sincere so I instantly hugged her and let out a small sob. However as soon as I heard a noise, I composed myself, pulled out of Akane's arms and turned to carry on stroking Harley's mane, silent tears falling down my cheeks. "It's Levi." Akane whispered to me, her eyes focused on somebody in front of us near the dead bodies. Turning slightly so I could see out of the corner of my eye, I saw Levi kneeling down next to the bodies in silence. He began to take off the badges on their jackets from every one of the dead bodies. To others he may look strange but to us we understood what he was doing seeing as we were indeed blood related. He was taking them as proof that they had lived and died as soldiers, fighting for a just cause. He continued doing this until it was announced that the bodies were to be loaded onto the wagons so we could take them back to inside the wall with us. This way they could be buried in respect to them and how they continued to fight no matter what. The bodies were loaded onto the wagons and as I managed to completely calm myself, we heard a loud shout coming from further away where Erwin was talking to some men and Levi was standing on a rock looking out for Titans or any signs of danger.
"I cannot accept this, Commander Erwin!" A voice called out. "We should recover them! Ivan's body was right in front of us. If they attack we can just defeat them!" The man continued. Oh here we go. There was always a few who didn't agree with what the Commander ordered. Of course we understood why, but we also understood the reasoning behind the orders therefore we saw no reason to fight it. I tuned out the rest of the argument and mounted Harley while Akane mounted Raven's saddle. Turning our horses away from the drama going on, we trotted over to where Eren lie in the back of the wagon. He still hadn't woken up and Mikasa hadn't left his side unless ordered to do a job. She looked up at us as we came over and glared. We remained in silence as we knew that she blamed us. We weren't going to correct her by saying that we could've done nothing, especially with Akane in the condition she was in, of course she didn't know about that. If she had then she would be questioning how Akane was sitting fine on her horse which would lead to explaining the experiments. We wanted to keep that quiet for now, so not letting her know was the safest option. Let her blame us. It didn't matter anyway, we were known as monsters. Those with no hearts or feelings and only cared for Titan blood.
"How is he?" I asked concerned, my heart sank as I looked at the unconscious boy laying in the wagon.
"He's fine but just still unconscious." She informed us briefly. "Of course he would be better if you two had made the effort to help." She spat accusingly, glaring at us with hatred in her eyes.
"What can we say? He looked like he was handling it well enough to me. Poor boy was just weak." Akane smirked, her eyes hardening to look deadly as she stared back at Mikasa. I looked at her a bit shocked. Normally she'd be feeling sorry for Eren and Mikasa's grief, but she seemed to be taking on the role of the bad guy. "Don't blame Saya though, it was actually me who held her back." She rolled her eyes before turning her horse away and moving on to Sasha and Connie.
"You know you're sisters a hard headed bitch. She should've gotten hurt instead of Eren." Mikasa growled angrily, her hands tightening into fists with anger. She did get hurt actually..... You just, don't know about it...... I ignored her and followed after Akane feeling slightly saddened by Akane's decision to take the blame when it was true that I could've tried to do something as well but didn't....
