Chapter 16 ~ Epilogue

Saya's P.O.V

A week Later......

A week. A whole bloody week I had been sat here in this cell. Levi had come down to see me everyday as well as Hanji to talk about what happened. Even after a week I still woke up from having nightmares about Akane's death but sometimes it's worse.
"Let me out already." I groaned out loud to myself. I tended to avoid thinking about Akane's death now as it only made me become depressed and start crying, although at one point when I woke up from being knocked out, I found myself in my room and heard people talking outside about Akane and how her dying was probably for the best. Of course hearing that, I lost it, and nearly killed the prat, which ended up with me being locked up in this cell. Even now I still had the urge to kill something.....

It must have been around dinner time now and I heard someone coming down to the dungeons. The footsteps came closer and looking up, I saw Eren standing there smiling with a tray of food in his hands as well as a cup of water on it. The cell door was unlocked and he walked in with the tray of food, setting it down beside me.
"Hey." He said smiling. "How you feeling?" I rolled my eyes.
"How'd you think?" I questioned sarcastically. He looked down at the floor ashamed.
"I'm sorry Saya. I didn't mean to." He sounded very sincere.
"It's fine." I replied emotionlessly. After Akane's death I had reverted back to how it used to be.
"Saya please don't be this way?" Eren begged, I felt a small amount of guilt but I refused to let myself feel anything. I knew having emotions would only get me hurt.
"What way? I've always been like this." I shrugged and turned away from Eren. He quickly grabbed my shoulder and turned me to face him. I was surprised at how strong he was.
"I need to return something." He told me as he blushed. I was confused. Blushing? But why? As I was asking myself these questions he leant forward. I reacted and was about to back off until his lips connected with mine and I froze. The feeling was amazing. The warmth that I felt was nothing that I had felt before and slowly but surely I returned the kiss. I didn't want it to ever stop. With Eren's lips on mine, his hands encircling my waist and my hands running through his surprisingly soft hair I forgot the pain of loosing Akane and somehow in this moment I was at peace with myself.
"Eren!" I heard a pissed off Mikasa exclaim from the shadows. "Why are you making out with this monster?" She added extra emphasis on the word monster. Abruptly the kiss ended and my pain flooded back. "Eren you were meant to be feeding it. Not making out with it. Why did you let her take advantage of you?"
"Mikasa I..." Eren was about to explain but Mikasa cut him off.
"Eren is mine Saya. He always will be. I keep my close ones safe unlike you who allowed your sister to die because you can't protect yourself. Yes I saw everything." She smirked. "Akane! Akane I'm going to save you!" She mimicked. That's when I saw red. I pushed Eren away before charging at Mikasa. She tried fighting me off but my strength was too much for her and within seconds I had her pinned up against the wall by her neck. I never thought Mikasa was like that but I guess jealousy makes you do nasty things. I refused to loosen my grip not even when Eren was trying to pry me away, my 'monster instincts' were too in control and I needed to kill. Mikasa was kicking at me but I wasn't phased and soon she began gasping for breath, her struggles ceased.
"Let... Me... Go... I'm... Sorry..." She gasped but when she talked my grip tightened. Slowly I began to smirk. I was enjoying myself.

Soon Eren rushed from the room but I didn't care. I looked into Mikasa's eyes which were full of fear and let out a small chuckle when I noticed her face turning a pale shade of blue. Not much longer now.
"Saya stop!" I heard Eren call, my mind filled with guilt. I was hurting Eren if I hurt Mikasa he still cared for her like a sister but I couldn't stop though, I had no control of my actions. With my free hand I quickly lashed out and punched Eren causing him to stumble backwards. As I did so I heard footsteps running outside and a door burst open.
"Don't hurt her!" I heard Levi yell.
"I'll have to if she doesn't cooperate." I heard Erwin reply, his voice full of seriousness.
"I'll just put her out with this!" Hanji told them both. I didn't react. I just tightened my grip.
"Saya let go." Erwin commanded me. My grip tightened. Next Levi tried to pull me away but I wouldn't budge a bit, then Hanji came up behind me.
"You had your chance to redeem yourself. I'm sorry." Then a needle was stuck into my arm and I stumbled back from Mikasa. She fell to the floor gasping for breath. I smirked as I watched her struggle before I collapsed and Levi caught me before I hit the floor. Before I blacked out I saw his face, it had a small amount of pride in his expression but the rest was blatant worry.
