Pete POV

“Aargh……”

I was mad at him, but on the other hand I felt so guilty for walk off from him before listening to his explanations.

I ended up staying in a hotel for the past 2 nights and I arrived to the office on monday morning, because I have a meeting.

“Morning Mr. Pete! Your wife is waiting for you in your office.”

“Really?”

I was surprise he was here, I thought he has classes today, and I know he don’t like to skip classes.

“Yes, she’s been waiting for an hour.”

“Alright then.”

I took a deep breath before I enter my office. I can see he has a swallow eyes, he must cried a lot yesterday.

I asked him why he’s here, he tried to explain to me the reason he did this to me with a teary eyed, I don’t want to see him cry, but I want to hear his reason behind this lies.

So, it was because they can’t refuse what their Father command, and because he don’t want his sister to give up her modelling job he took her place to marry me.

Why it sounds like it was the only choice? Why don’t they just turn down the arrange married from the first place?

Miss Jan knock my office door to told me my morning meeting is here.

I asked him to go home or go to University right now, because I have a meeting to attend and I don’t want him to wait for me for the whole day.

Beside I don’t know what to say to him right now, I’m still processing everything.

After a long meeting, I’m back to my office and stare blankly on the floor.

Suddenly I saw a foot with a fancy looking shoe.

“Oi Pete!”

“Oi Off! Why don’t you knock before you come in?”

“Aww…I knocked, and you didn’t respond!”

I sigh, I’m too concentrate on spacing until I don’t know what happened around me.

“What happened to you? You leave the fashion show without said good bye and turn off your phone.”

“Huh…I think I’m going crazy Off.”

“What happened bro? tell me.”

“I just found out that my wife is not a she but a he…”

“Wait what?”

“Yeah…”

“Wow!!! Both of them are so pretty, no wonder we thought they were a girl.”

“What do you mean? Both of them? Who are you talking about? I’m talking about my wife here.”

“Yeah, I’m talking about your wife and Nong Gun.”

“Do you mean Nong Gun is a boy too?”

“Yeah…"

Puff…My mind is blowing right now!

“Oi Pete, so what are you going to do now?”

“I don’t know, I never have a feeling like this before, I even said I love you to him. But, now when I found out she is a he……”

“What is it?! Why you have to stop the half way?! You make me curious…!”

“When I found out my wife is a he…I still can’t stop thinking about him! Am I mad at him? Yes, but I also feel sad when I looked at his swallow eyes, he must had cried a lot last night!”

Off laughing out loud at me.

“You love him don’t you?! I never saw you looked at someone the way you looked at your wife! No matter how many girls around you, you never looked at them the way you looked at your wife! Mint for example, she always sticks at you and wear sexy outfit for you, but you never tempted to be with her.”

Off is right, I never have feeling for those girls around me.

“Well, we assume you like boys, because you never talk about girls with me or First. No matter how many girls I introduced to you, you never like any of them!”

“What?!!! Did you said I don’t like girls?”

“Yeah…But we never ask you that because I respect you, you have to be the one who tell us.”

“Why are you looking at me?” Off asked.

I looked at Off because I just realize what he said was true. Off has introduce me tons of girls, but none of them interest me. And no matter what Mint did or wear to get my attention, I never like her like I want to be with her.

“Sh*t!!! I think you were right!”

“I’m a love master, of course I’m right!”

I never realize that until he told me this.

“Then how about you and Cute Nong Gun? Since when you like boys?”

“Don’t you know I’m always flexible! And I’m happy to tell you that he agreed to go out with me this Friday. It’s a date!”

“Off, you know you can’t force love right?”

“For my defends, I’m not forcing him to love me, I just want him to get to know me, so he can love me.”

Off might not be the first person I will ask for advice, but he always know how to talk sense and make me realize things.

“By the way is that a lunch box?”

Off looked at the box on the table.

“There’s a note too. Pete, your Mom and Dad are back at the house, please come home and see them. I cooked you some Udon, hope you like it. Kao.”

“So your wife’s name is Kao?”

“Yeah, Kia is his twin sister.”

“What? They are twins? Wow! So…are you going to eat it?”

“I’m not hungry.”

“I will eat it then.”

Off opened the lunch box, and he dig in for the Udon.

“Hmnn…this is so good! Hmnn…”

I looked at Off dig in for another Udon and put it all in his mouth. I gulp just by looking at the Udon, I snatch the lunch box and dig some to taste it.

“It’s really good!”

I can’t stop eating the Udon, he’s right, I love it.

“Oi Pete, I thought you say you’re not hungry.”

“My wife cooked this for me, not you.”

“Are you even listen to yourself? You can’t stop calling him your wife right!”

So I finally come home, but I’m nervous because I don’t know how to face him and what to say to him. I’m still trying to understand and accepting the situation.

“Pete!!! You are home! I moved in today!!! And mom is cooking so go clean up and have dinner together.”

P’Mook hug me when she saw me entering the house.

“Go put your bag and call your wife, we’ll be waiting at the dining room.”

I just nodded my head and smile at her because my mind is busy thinking about him.

I came in to the room and I saw him drying his wet hair, aaah…I remember this view, It’s reminds me of our honeymoon in Japan.

“Pete, you’re home.”

“Ugh…yes.”

I put my bag and head to the bathroom to took a quick shower, then we are heading to the dining room.

“Mook, tell us where are you for the past 5 years?” Mom asked P’Mook in the dining room.

“Well…”

While P’Mook busy telling her story me and my wife had some spoon incident.

The sound of the spoon hitting the plate stop them from talking. We tried to act normal, but then we had another fork incident.

Everyone looking at us puzzled, I stop eating and stood up.

“What is it Pete?” Mom asked.

“I still have a lot of work to do, please excuse me.”

I went to the reading room and slam myself to the couch. Minutes later I heard a knock and then my sister came in.

“Pete! What the hell is wrong with you with your wife?”

“What? Nothing!”

I tried to hide it from P’Mook.

“You can lie to Dad and Mom but not me! You were missing after the fashion show and you act strange today. You and your wife both! So spill it out!”

Huff…I forgot my sister was like detective, so I told her everything or else she will terrorise me.

“Hmn…Are you stupid Pete? Why can’t you differentiate a boy and a girl?”

“How should I know? I thought he just a tomboy type of girl who love to wear a hoodie and jeans”

“You hugged him before right? And you don’t question the chest?”

“I…I thought he just a flat chest girl. For my defence he looked beautiful, and I never saw anyone as beautiful as him.”

P’Mook is holding her head.

“Oh my God, how can I have a brother like you?”

“What should I do now?”

“Let me ask you are you afraid that Uncle Samporn will kill your wife when he kidnaped him?”

“Yes”

“Are you always want to come home early after work to see your wife?”

“Well…yes”

“Do you love looking at your wife when he is sleeping?”

“Yeah, I often do that. He has this mole on her nose that I…”

“Shhhh…I don’t need to know the reason. Now have you said “I love you” to your wife?”

“Yes.”

“Have you kissed your wife”

“Yes.”

“Did he kissed you back?”

“Yes.”

“Pete!!! You love your wife no matter he is a she or a he! And he loves you back!”

“Arrgh…I know, I can feel that too! But right now I’m a little bit mad at him because he lied to me, but…I found myself kept thinking about him when he’s not around and I’m sad when I saw him cried.”

“At least he come clean to you with reason isn’t he?”

“But it’s not that simple. More over I feel awkward, because I just found out I like boys…What will Dad and Mom say about me?!”

“Oh brother! You know Dad and Mom loves you very much right? I’m sure they’ll understand. I can tell that you love him, so if you can accept and forgive him I think Dad and Mom won’t mind it.”

“You think so? But it won’t be easy for us.”

“Pete, it’s true that it’s not going to be easy, because it’s not an ordinary love. So If you truly love him, fight for it…beside, I don’t want to see you crying.”

“Puff…crying? I’m not a crying baby like you.”

P’Mook pinch my cheeks, I hold her hands and thanked her for her advice. She always gave me the best advice in life.

When I’m back to the room I don’t see him anywhere, I tried to looked for him in the toilet and balcony, but he’s nowhere to be found. His bag is gone, some of his clothes is missing too.

I tried to call his cell phones, but no answer.

I went to find Dad and Mom.

“Did you guys see my wife?” I asked them.

“Sunan took her home. He said hthey have a family matter.” Dad answer.

“Don’t worry Pete, Sunan said nothing serious. They will be back in a few days.”

Mom comfort me.

“Thank you guys”

I’m back to my room and tried to call him again.

“The number you are calling……”

He’s not picking up my phone. I sent him message to asked if he’s ok, but he also not replying any of my message.

Even though Mom said nothing serious, but I have that weird feeling that something is about to happen.
