(Jiro's P.O.V)
I held her hand the rest of the way to the soba place, and we got a disapproving look from the man behind the counter. We ordered, and he made our food, but kept shooting dirty looks. I got kind of upset, and started thinking about if this is what it'd be like if we were an actual couple and if we went to places like this. I felt anger radiating from (L/n), and her grip on my hand had tightened slightly, and she was shooting the dirty looks right back at him. We got our food to go, and she opened her mouth to speak, and I was ready for a rude goodbye or snarky remark, but instead she said in a gentle, sweet voice "Sir, just because you're jealous of us doesn't mean you can give us dirty looks. Have a nice day, and thank you for the food." then promptly lead me out, leaving the man looking angry and shocked. "Whoa, that was hilarious!" I giggled, and she laughed "Yeah, I'm definitely not allowed there anymore." We quickly ate, then she lead the way to the thing she wanted to show me. It was starting to get dark, so fireflies were scattered about, and we came to this massive weeping willow tree. I gasped and took in the beauty of it, and she let go of my hand, then took a few branches and braided them tightly together, then said "Watch this, it's really fun. Been doing it since I was a kid." then jumped and used it as a rope swing, laughing and whooping in excitement. I laughed at her childish excitement, then tried it out too, and it was surprisingly fun. She found a broken branch and started to weave together the tendrils, making a sturdy, beautiful crown. She found some ground ivy with small violet blossoms on it, and wove it in. "I may not be able to make flower chains, but I can make these." she said, then came over to me. I bent forward and she placed the crown on my head, then said in her exaggerated accent "All hail Jiro, Queen of the flowers!" And I snickered in response. Suddenly my phone went off, and I rushed over to the bag. "Sorry, it's my mom. I've gotta take this." I apologized, then picked up.
"Hey, Mom."
"Hey sweetheart. Just checking in, you've been gone a while and it's getting dark. Is everything alright?"
"Everything is fine. I'm with (L/n). We just got dinner and we're at a park."
"That sounds lovely. May I say hi to her?"
"Sure, I'll ask."
I looked back at (L/n) and said "My mom wants to say hi." "Oh, alright. Can you put her on speaker?" she replied, then came over and we sat in the grass with the phone between us.
"Ok mom, you're on speaker now."
"Hi, this is (L/n)."
"Ok, Kyoka. Hello, (L/n)! I've heard so much about you!"
"Your daughter is amazing, miss. I never met someone this kind and sweet before. You've done an incredible job."
"Aw, how sweet. Thank you."
"I like this kid."
"Your dad decided to join us, Kyoka."
"Thank you, (L/n). Hi dad."
"So, (L/n), could you walk Kyoka home? It's getting late and we'd feel a lot better if someone was walking her home. And it would give us a chance to meet you."
"Sure, I'd love to. We should probably head out anyway."
"Perfect, and we can drive you home after so you don't have to walk home alone."
"Oh, no, it's quite alright-"
"No, we insist."
Suddenly, (L/n) looked panicked and worried, and I could feel her Quirk forcing that panic onto me.
"(L/n), it's alright. Also, your Quirk..." I whispered.
"Alright, Mom, Dad. We're going to start making our way home now. See you soon."
"Bye!"
I hung up on them, then put away my phone. "Sorry about that. You won't be able to talk them out of it. But it's fine, don't worry about it." We picked up the bag, then started walking back to my house, holding hands. After a long, peaceful walk, we came to my doorstep. I unlocked the door, and announced "Mom, Dad, I'm home!"
