This takes place in the senior year of middle school, and you attend the same school as Kirishima and Mina. This include some manga spoilers, ones about Mina and Kirishima's experiences in middle school together. And a kinda big spoiler about a Nomu type character that hasn't been introduced to the show yet.
(Kirishima's P.O.V)
"I feel so bad that I couldn't help that kid earlier today. What ass just picks on an underclassman? I'm glad Ashido took care of it. It was pretty funny to watch, how she made them break dance to get through the fight. Who else would think of that? She's so cool." Suddenly I felt a sense of anxiety and guilt pop up out of nowhere. I knew this pretty familiarly, and instantly knew who was behind me. "Excuse me, sorry! I just need to get through." a girl picked her way through the people on the sidewalk, which I was used to seeing, as we have a pretty similar route back to our houses. I didn't really know anything about her other than her name, she's pretty reserved and isolated. She's constantly being sent out of class for usage of her Quirk in school, and she has to be in a different room during tests because the students around her can't start their tests because of the constant emotions being forced on them. The other kids often would stay as far away from her because of the constant, strong, often tear inducing feeling of guilt they would feel around her. I'm not really sure what her Quirk actually is, but it's clearly something to with emotions, and she doesn't seem to have very good control over it. "(L/n), hey!" I waved. "Oh, hey Kirishima." she responded, then continued speed walking. I watched her walk away and felt the feeling fade out, and a few people around me exchange confused glances at the sudden appearance and vanishing of the emotions.
I kept walking, but passed a street that was normally deserted, but there were three people on the sidewalk against the side of a building. It was two girls and a huge figure in a cloak that towered over them. I turned and began to head over, wanting to help. After what happened today with those bullies, maybe I can save those girls from that villain instead! Yeah, that'd be super manly. But suddenly I saw the cloaked guy's face, and I was frozen in fear. I saw him ask them something, but it got no response from the girls. I could only stand and stare, and I saw that it was (L/n) and Ashido. The man leaned towards them and placed a hand on the building causing it to crumble, and a window shattered above their heads. (L/n) shoved Ashido forward, protecting her from the glass that rained down on her head. Ashido screamed, then hurriedly told the man something, to which he nodded, then walked away. I was finally snapped out of my fear, than ran over to them. I felt like I was slapped in the face by a strong feeling of annoyance. Ashido was fretting over (L/n), who had blood running down her neck and forehead. "Oh my god, (L/n), are you ok?! Your neck, it's cut! We have to do something!" Ashido was flipping out, her own panic overpowering (L/n)'s Quirk, which I now understood. Judging by her face and the annoyance I felt for no reason, it must project her own emotions to those around her. I started to panic a bit too, and I felt guilty for not doing anything. With my Quirk, I could've helped, no problem. Ashido kept fretting, talking over (L/n) anytime she tried to speak up. Suddenly I felt a flare of anger and (L/n) snapped "I'm ok, stop that." Shaking bits of glass from her hair and used her uniform sleeve to wipe away the blood on her neck, revealing a shallow cut across her throat, long, but not deep enough to do any real damage. Ashido looked hurt, then an intense guilt set in on us, strong enough for Ashido and I start to cry involuntarily, the force of the emotion enough to bring us to tears. The guilt spiked to a level almost physically painful. "Please stop using your Quirk, (L/n)." Ashido prompted, her voice strained from holding back tears. "U-uh- I'm sorry- I don't know how to stop- I can't control it- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to- Ugh, why am I even still talking. Besides, my leaving seems to fix anything in every situation. I'm sorry..." (L/n) mumbled, stumbling through her words, then finally sprinting down the street out of view. Once Ashido and I recovered, I began to run after her, wanting to help, but Ashido grabbed my arm and said "Wait, Kirishima. I think she needs some space. You heard her at the end, something's going on." "Which is why we should go after her!" I protested, pulling my arm. "We can talk to her at school tomorrow, for now she clearly doesn't want to be around us. She'll be ok." Ashido insisted. "Ok. Tomorrow." I agreed, then we went our separate ways.
Except when tomorrow came, she wasn't there. She wasn't there the next day, or the next after that. Days became weeks, and missing reports came out for her. A police interview with her mother was released, causing outrage among the parents in town, including mine, since she was in my class. Ashido and I watched it together after school, and (L/n)'s mother seemed unconcerned, almost relieved that her daughter was gone. She talked about (L/n)'s Quirk, and how that Quirk had 'forced' her to limit contact with (L/n), saying she could hardly deal with all the teenager problems when they weren't 'being shoved in her face relentlessly day and night' and how she was a working woman and needed to be able to function, and how (L/n)'s Quirk was a burden to her. No account for how (L/n) herself felt about the whole thing. About a week after the report was released, an update on the case was released that (L/n)'s belongings had been stolen from the house, leading them to believe that she was still nearby. Ashido and I would search for almost 2 hours everyday after school for weeks until exams and we had to focus on studying, and the whole thing faded away into a memory.
