~Next afternoon~
(Y/n's P.O.V)
I waited at the station for hours, with nothing else to do with my day, and I just stared up at the sky, and over the hours I noticed that a circle had cleared in people's path around me, about the reach of my quirk. I felt guilty, but decided not to care. I heard a voice shout my name, which jolted me back to the present. I looked back towards the doors, and I didn't know who to expect, because it certainly wasn't Jiro. I looked around for a bit and suddenly I saw someone running towards me and before I could process it, I was wrapped in a tight hug by a tall boy with familiar shark-like teeth and a scar over his eye. "(Y/n)! I'm sorry, but I'm so glad to see you." Kirishima's voice said, and when he let go and stepped back, I saw tears in his eyes. I was so incredibly confused, and I knew that Mina had told him about me, so why was he treating me like this? "Hey Kirishima. Long time no see. It's good to see you too, but why are you being nice to me? Surely Mina already told you about... the thing." I asked, looking up at him and his spiky, red hair. "Yeah, I know about that. But... Mina's not here. And I missed you. I was so worried when you disappeared, and I wanted to keep looking for you, but eventually Mina gave up and I couldn't do it by myself and... my point is I don't care what side you're on, I'm still so happy to see you and that you're ok. And it seems like you have better control of your quirk too! That's amazing!" He explained, almost shouting and wiping his eyes. I stood there in shock, so taken aback that they looked for me, and even though I'm everything he's against, he still cares about me. I gave him a shaky, crooked smile and fought back tears, and choked out "Thank you. Thank you so much for caring." He smiled back and gave me another hug, and I heard Jiro's voice. "(Y/n), Kirishima! Hey!" She shouted, and Kirishima and I let go of each other and turned to greet her.
Jiro ran to me and I gave her a hug, then swung her around once, laughing. "Hey, welcome back!" I said, setting her down. "Thanks! So, (Y/n), you know Kirishima?" she asked, and Kirishima and I nodded. "We used to be friends in middle school. How do you two know each other?" He asked, and Jiro looked at me, and I nodded back. "She's my girlfriend." Jiro said, sounding almost proud. Kirishima looked shocked, then stuttered "Wait, even though you're a hero and she's a-" I hissed and shook my head at him. "She doesn't know!" I mouthed, and he understood and stopped. "Nevermind. Well you guys seem happy, so that's good." Kirishima said, bouncing back to his happy tone. "Yeah, we are pretty happy. Well, now that you're back, should I walk you home? The you can tell me all about your internship on the way." I said, turning to Jiro, and she nodded back. "Well I guess we're headed out. Bye, Kirishima. It was really nice to see you again." I said, and then when Jiro turned away to start walking, I mouthed "Thank you so much." at him, and he gave me a thumbs up before I started speed walking to catch up to Jiro. "Here, let me take those for you." I said, carefully taking her bags from her hands, and she laughed and thanked me. We walked home and she told me all the details of her week, and when she started explaining the hostage situation, I spaced out and felt slightly guilty. "(Y/n), why do you feel bad? Is something wrong?" She asked, snapping me back. "No no, everything is just fine. I was just thinking about something at home. But that's crazy. I'm glad you're alright, and those guys would regret it if they'd even given you a single scratch." I responded.
She smiled and her cheeks turned pink, then she seemed to remember something "Oh it was the strangest thing, but there was this girl I saw yesterday. She was sitting on a rooftop across from the agency, and when I opened the curtains in the morning, she waved to me then covered her face and ran away, so I didn't get a good look at her. And then later when we were on patrol she was following us, but I still couldn't see her face because she was wearing one of those face masks and sunglasses. When we got the report for the hostages, she started running, and we thought for sure that she was a villain going off to warn the others, and we followed her for a while, but she disappeared. And when we got to the building, she wasn't there and the villains didn't seem to really have anything important. They just knew that we were coming, but didn't prepare. But that girl really was the strangest thing. Kinda creepy, honestly." My heart sunk at this, but I remembered that she could've been hurt if I hadn't done anything, so I just put on a concerned face and said "Oh weird. That's really unsettling, I'm sorry that happened."and she nodded as we stepped up to her front door. "Well, I'm really tired and need time to unpack, so I'll see you tomorrow- wait, no I can't! I don't think I'll have any free time for the rest of the week, we have a huge exam this week. I'm sorry." "Oh it's ok, at least we got to see each other now. Good luck on your exam, goodbye!" I said, then waved and headed back home.
