Samson's POV
Lately, Anita has been acting so nicely and friendly towards me, which I found quite weird. She comes to my room more often these days to spend quality time with me when there was nothing doing. Actually, that wasn't a bad thing but coming from Anita, the Anita that was mean to me initial, that was weird and a great change. However, I loved the fact she was nice and always wanted to spend time with me. It made me happy, and most importantly, it made me fall in love with her again. Yeah, my feeling had slept off when she was treating me like a dustbin, but she spending time with me, it woke the feeling up again.
Today was Friday, which meant, the short holiday would soon be over. We'd be leaving for Nigeria tomorrow. Glory be to God!
Okay, the past few days that we spent here, it was fun and exciting but also quite stressful and dramatic. Jane had been on my neck. Whenever, we went to the seminar, she always had her way of sitting next to me, hence making Anita sit elsewhere. I didn't like it at all but what could I do? I couldn't tell her to get up because that'd be very rude. Although, I cautioned her yesterday.
I heard a knock on my room whilst I was dressing up for that last seminar here, and after which, we'd go for a ride. I was super excited.
"Come in." I said.
"Hey," Anita greeted coldly. "Let's go now." And then, she shut the door.
What was wrong with her today? I immediately brushed my hair and scurried out of the room. Luckily, I met her in track.
"Hey. What's up?" I walked besides her, as we made our way downstairs.
"Nothing." Her tone was cold again.
I flinched an eyebrow. "Nothing? So what's with the cold treatment? Or, are you on your period?" I giggled.
"Can you ever be serious in your life?" She retorted.
"Woah!" I raised my hands in surrender. "It hasn't got to that."
She just shook her head and kept a straight face, walking silently.
With the corner of my eyes, I looked at her. Her face was stern. "Come on." I nudged her. "What's wrong? I honestly don't like you looking this way."
"Samson, please just let me be."
"How will I let you be? Or did I do something wrong again?" I looked sad at the moment.
She just kept mute until we finally got to Mr. Shedrack.
"Good morning sir." We greeted him simultaneously.
"Let's go." We walked to the mini bus, entered and it kicked off.
I didn't talk to her neither did she talk to me while the bus moved. We finally got to our destination.
We got down from the bus, and it felt like I'd entered an oven. It was so hot. I guess it was because the bus was cold that was why.
The students, which are part of the seminar, were outsides chit-chatting. I bet they haven't started the seminar yet.
"Hey Anita." Lucas waved and strutted towards Anita, with both hands in his pocket. He sure thinks he is the most handsome guy here. Well, bullshit to him. I didn't like him one bit. Not even as little as a muster seed.
I rolled my eyes at the sight of him and threw a glance at Anita. The smile on her face was broad and genuine; she looked happy to see him. That created a little hole in my heart.
"Hey Lucas." She waved backed cheerfully.
He got to us, and they embraced each other. I looked away. In fact, I wanted to walk away but I didn't want to come across as a jealous boyfriend. Boyfriend? Yeah, boy and friend. I didn't want to come across as that, so I stood there but looked away.
