Sang's P.O.V.
Days passed and now I'm getting ready to go for my first day of school.
To say I'm nervous is an understatement. I am excited to finally go to school, but the part that makes my stomach churn with anxiety is I have no clue what to expect.
Marc is taking me to school today. I am slightly nervous about it, considering I am supposed to be taking the bus today. I didn't have it in me to tell him no, though. I just have to hope that Marie won't say anything to Mom.
I sigh as I smooth out my skirt before putting my hair into a ponytail.
When I walk out of my room, I don't hear anything from Mom's room and I can hear movement from Marie's room.
I make my way outside and down to Marc's car where I always meet them.
I smile as I see him leaning on the hood of his car.
He smiles back when he sees me and he rushes forward, wrapping his arms around me.
He pulls away, "You excited?"
He grabs my book bag and puts in the car, "Sorta. I'm nervous too." My voice, which has finally started coming back, sounds gravelly and rough after days with no use.
He wraps his arms around me again, this time pulling me off of the ground and he twirls me, making me laugh.
When he sets me down, he pecks me on the cheek, "It's going to be a good day, don't worry, you'll do great."
I say nothing as he opens the door for me and I get in.
He gets in the driver's side and starts the car.
The ride is too short and it's still pretty early when we arrive to the school.
Marc grimaces as he looks through his window at Ashley Waters.
We spend a little bit of time in the car with him trying to keep my mind off my nerves.
I can't believe how lucky I am to have him as a friend, and the rest of the boys.
When I get ready to get out of the car, I groan.
Marc laughs, "Oh, it won't be so bad. But, if you really don't want to go, you can always skip and spend the day with me. I won't tell if you won't."
He winks when he's done, making me laugh, "Although that sounds amazing, I do need to go."
"Alright," he draws the word out, "Before I forget, we made you a lunch. Axel had to stop Raven from putting more than two fruit cups in there."
He hands me a brown paper bag as I laugh. Raven and his fruit cups.
I don't know what it is about them simply making me lunch that has me feeling slightly emotional and very happy. Maybe I just find it hard to believe that they care about my well-being. It's definitely not something I'm used to yet.
I grin and kiss him on the cheek, thanking him. We say our goodbyes and I get out of the car, beginning to walk towards the dreary looking school.
I walk into the building that is slowly filling with people.
I search for my home room and when I find it, I enter the room hesitantly.
There are a few students already in here. Some with their heads on their desk, blocking everything out. Others were talking animatedly with their friends about who knows what.
