Ch 1

"KIDS!!" Mom yelled through the house I think she finally gave up trying to list all of us. After all she does have 5. Aiden and Daniel where already downstairs they are the oldest of all of us. I was the 3rd downstairs

"Where's James and Quinn?" Dad asked when he took head count.

"Quinn is probably playing video games and James is probably at the baseball fields again." Aiden answers.

"Video games and baseball my ass." Dad muttered and walked upstairs and soon dragged Quinn and James downstairs. Mom sighed

"Ok now that I have 1,2,3,4,5.... Of you" Mom counted all of us. Even Tank our German Shepard was present

" I can tell you why you are here." She continued.

"The Staff Sargent and his Wife are coming for dinner tonight" Dad finished for her. All if us looked at each other the staff Sargent meant something was going to happen relocation or promotion or what ever it was never just a friendly get together. Normally we where not home either.

"I want good behavior from all of you please." My mom pleaded.

"Troops dismissed He will be here on 0100 hours." Dad nodded and we all ran upstairs to get ready. The fight for the shower was on.

"Rianne if you want Mom already showered you can use mine" Dad mentioned as I raced to it.

"Really?"

"Go your the only girl"

I ran downstairs pushing Quinn and Aiden out if the way.

"Anna, Jeremy so nice to see you again." Mrs Coleman hugged my father and Mother. Staff Sargent Coleman shook hands.

"You to Sarah. Have you met all of my children?" Mom asked.

"No I haven't I've only met Aiden on his 21st birthday a few months ago but I haven't met the others" She smiled she seemed nice enough.

"This is my second oldest Daniel he's 19 Then there is James who is 17 Quinn is 17 they are twins and the there is Rianne who is 16."  Mom was almost out of breath naming all of us.

"Very nice to meet you I'm Sarah Coleman." I waved. Tank sat at my feet wagging his tail. We all sat around our very large table.

"So Jeffrey have we heard anymore on what they are doing with Al Quada?" Dad asked picking at his food.

"I think they will ship more of us out in the next few months probably from Camp Pendleton then move there way to North Carolina." Coleman stated very stern matter. Mom stopped her conversation with Sarah and looked at Dad I knew why. We are North Carolina we are sitting on North Carolina.

"Well this was a good dinner McCoy thank you. It was nice meeting ALL of the family. I only have 1 myself. I'm surprised your not grayer" Jeffery joked. With that they left.

After they left I sat in my room with Tank curled on my bed I was forced to the floor shouldn't it be the other way? When I heard Mom and Dad talking downstairs. I crept out of my room and Quinn already beat me to it we laid on our stomachs at the top of the stairs.

"What does he mean Pendleton then North Carolina"

"He thinks they are going to start with the Platoons in California and then send some from North Carolina."

"So you will deploy to?"

"Afghanistan most likely.
