Entry #9

Lets talk about lunch.

It was about halfway through lunch when I decided to put head down and take a little nap. I had finished eating and was exhausted. I was up all of Saturday and Sunday working on a piece for the art show. It's my second piece so far, I wanted it done so I could bring it in today and show the guys in the club what I've been working. I also wanted to hear some feedback on what they think and if it's good enough for the show. I ended up getting it done and when I showed it to them they were ecstatic, they loved it. Anyway's, my lunch nap didn't last more then 20 seconds.

"Hey, hey, hey, no drooling on the lunch tables. I forbid" Christian said banging on the table, in an attempt to wake me up; it had worked.

"You are so annoying, can't you tell I'm exhausted."

"Yes I can. Which is why I got you up, so you can tell me why you're so tired."

I just looked at him.

"So why are you so tired?" He said nudging me in my arm.

I rolled my eyes "Because, I was working on a piece for the art show."

"Oooo, can I see it?"

"No, no one but the art club members can see it until the show... You should come, it's December 20th, here at the school."

"Yea, definitely. I'll be there."

I put my head back down figuring the conversation was over, but it wasn't because you'd never believe what he said next.

"Well since we're inviting people places, you should come to my show on Friday."

I lifted my head "You want me to come to you're show, you know that's the day after Thanksgiving right?"

"I mean you don't have to come if you don't want to, I'd like you to be there, but you don't have to, I'd like you to be there, but you don't have to if you don't want to."

"No! I do it's just I'm really awkward so I don't want my weirdness to mess you up." As soon as I said that, I had felt myself blush.

"You? Weird? Never. You might make me a little nervous, but I'll take the risk. So you'll come? I can pick you up at 7"

"Ok, sounds good."

"How was dinner with your dad?"

And that was the end of that conversation because yet again the bell rang and saved my ass. But after thinking it over, I've decided to tell him I lied. He's really cool and I've been having such a good time hanging out with him. I don't want him to think I'm liar, I just wasn't ready to tell the truth.

On another note, I'm really nervous for this concert and my biggest concern is what I'm going to wear. All of my clothes are either out dated or sweatpants. I'd ask my mom to take me shopping, but I still don't want her to know about Christian. And come on, who wants to ask their mother to take them shopping for a concert.

 Entry #9 Pt. 2

Ok! So I just got home from my art club meeting and I was telling a few of them about Christian and the concert on Friday. (BTW they are so cool and we're starting to get close). One of the girls, Skyla, said she'd go shopping with me. We're going to go Wednesday night. I've actually made a couple of friends from art club, including Skyla; 4. The other 3 are Jessie, April and Dakota.

Jessie is the only boy in the group, but he doesn't seem to mind too much. He does 3D art. A lot of his artwork are models of the world, animals, flowers; all things nature. One of his pieces for the art show is a 3D paper mache Christmas tree and all the paper he used he collected from recycling or off the street. What makes it even better is that he didn't paint the tree, so you can see the old newspaper or someone's half finished math homework. He only painted the ornaments and the star. It's really neat. He's really into saving the planet and stuff. Him and his girlfriend organize clean ups and work in a rescue shelter.

April is your classic, basic painter. She paints things like the beach, or a city; a lot of scenery work. We always joke about how she's the boring one. However, she's extremely smart, 4.0 gpa, and captain of the math team. She's a BIG nerd.

Then you have Skyla& Dakota. They have been best friends since they were seven. They are both very edgy and alternative (for lack of a better description). Skyla does abstract art, like me, but she does a lot of 3D abstract art. Dakota does hand drawings and occasionally random paintings. Skyla is very loud and outgoing, where as Dakota is more quiet and to herself. I have no clue how they have managed to stay friends for so long.

Either way though, they are all really cool. We haven't hung out outside of school yet, so I still don't really know them; but at least I have someone for now.
