November 11th, 1918~

It was a big day for everyone, as they were all gathered together in the trenches. Today was the day, the final fight that would end this horrible war.

The gang were in their positions, anxiously waiting to finish this. It was silent, until everyone soon heard the whistle.

This was it...

The two sides charged towards each other, as there were explosions, shouting, and gun fire all around. The battle was so intense, it was like nothing the twins have ever seen.

Stubby, Conroy and the twins eventually made it down into the Germans' trenches with Gaston, where he had two German soldiers cornered.

"Drop your weapons!" Gaston ordered the German soldiers, while Stubby growled and barked at them.

"We got you now, rats!" Stubby barked and growled at the two German soldiers.

The two sides had their guns pointed to each other, waiting for one of them to fire first while the twins glared, holding their breaths and Stubby continued growling at the German soldiers.

But then... the gang looked up as they heard a bugle horn and faint cheering nearby. The gang lowered their guns, now knowing that the war was officially over.

No one never did understand why the soldiers were made to attack until the very last minute of the war. So many young men were lost on that morning. But they did their duty... to the very end.

Conroy looked at his watch, showing it to be 11 am and smiled. "We made it"

The twins couldn't believe it. "Really?... That's it? The war's over?!"

Gaston chuckled while Stubby barked in joy.

"Alright, we did it!" Stubby smiled to his friends, wagging his tail.

The gang was very happy that the war was finally over and they had won. But when they came back to the others, there were some soldiers missing from battle.

The twins saw Schroeder nearby, shouting as he was looking for somebody. The twins then had a look around themselves, realizing something.

"Where's Olsen?..." they thought.

Stubby began sniffing around and found an American war helmet. He sniffed the helmet some more but soon whimpered, knowing who it belonged to.

"Olsen!" Schroeder kept calling while the twins helped him look. "Olsen, vhere are you? Vhere are you?..."

They then saw Stubby slowly walk up to them while carrying the helmet and gave it to Schroeder. The twins gasped, knowing this meant only one thing...

Everyone was sad, removing their helmets and hung their heads in silence over the loss of their dear friend.

Later~

Conroy and the gang were back at the camp, packing up as it was now finally time for them to go home.

Ann sighed, helping load some supplies into the truck. "Well, this is it..."

"I can't believe it's over" Brock frowned a little, actually sad they had to leave all their friends here behind. They had met a lot of nice people here.

Gaston then came to them.

"Well, my friends, we have seen much together" Gaston told his American friends as he came up to them. "And now the Three Musketeers must say goodbye"

Conroy and the twins soon hugged their French soldier friend, saying their goodbyes.

"Thank you, Gaston" Ann said with a tear in her eye.
