Chapter 1-junior lifeguards

(It was June, the sun was shining down on all the participants on the hot soft sand. At 31st Street Beach junior lifeguarding was being hosted by the senior lifeguards before they had to go on shift has the beach started pouring in on them of people. Kids ages from sixteen to eighteen started training in March but June parked the in water training at the ocean, and for some people it didn't go as planned)

Gr<"alright, guys go have fun on the beach, we will see you next Saturday"

(All kids started thanking coach gregory for the training and then some started telling him they weren't able to make it on some days. OverallC coach Greg was very understanding about other availability)

<"bye coach Greg"

Gr<"bye kids,(he waves bye to each and everyone of them along with the parents who stood side and watched. After he turned around he let out a breathe and looked at his team),alright, we are gonna take a mile from the end and end when your chairs come up, we're here to protect, not play games! We had to get rid of someone because he didn't do his job and someone didn't make it at the hospital after we made our EAP. Copy"?

Gr<"alright, a mile it is, start from the end"(he pointed to the last lifeguard chair on the left side of the beach and watched as they all lightly jogged to their assigned watching towers)

Al<"he was actually telling me that he wanted to go away for our one year"!(she smiled, after writing down the last persons order of food from the hut)

Br<"did he really? Did he say where"?

Al<"nope,(she grabbed the tray of fries and chicken),here you go sir"

<"thanks"

Al<"anytime,(she gave him a smile and then looked at Brittany),I feel like this is it for us...I'm so happy with him and I...I just can't describe it"

Br<"your happy Allie, and you deserve after everything that's happened to you,(she looked as Allie grinned and looked down),Allie...does he know"?

Al<"what..(she looked up and saw her face),what no. And it's gonna stay that way. If he finds out I cheated on him, he will never talk to me again"

Br<"you can always say it's when you guys broke up"(she stole a fry from the fryer)

Al<"Brittany no! And I made my final decision"

Br<"mkay...don't say I didn't tell you,(she looked at Allie as she sighed only to get interrupted with the whistles being blow on the shore of the beach. Everyone that was either shopping for clothes at the hut or got food, ran to the railing that over looked the ocean and watch as one set of lifeguards had to make a rescue),there jay"(she pointed to the guy pulling in the rope that connected to the rescue buoy which was being held by two teenagers who got sucked in, passed the sand bar, by the current. The lifeguard who ran in was to the side of them, and making sure they didn't get tumbled by an incoming wave)

(The kids ran to their friends and families who happened to panicking and harassing another lifeguard about getting their kids to shore before they finally were back and good. Jay rolled up the rope and dropped it in the bucket before grabbing the shovel and re shoveling more sand onto the bulging hill where the guards jump onto. He looked down at his right bicep and saw that one of the parents cut him right on the shoulder as she clawed at him. He sighed and went under the tent to drink some water and rehydrate)
