C H A P T E R 33

                    "How is he doing?" Amberella walks over to us, squatting down to get a better look at him. She was about to place her hand on his forehead, but then stops, looking at me for permission.

                     I just got him back in my arms and I was getting paranoid that if someone even breath around him he would disappear in mid air.

                    Amberella places her hand on my shoulder. "It's okay Everest I won't hurt him I promise." She promises. I looked at her for a long time, debating with myself if I should let her.

                    Moving his head from my chest, I nodded my head and she took my answer by placing her hand on his forehead. "Jesus fucking Christ, he is so cold. What did they do to him?" She breathes out while moving her hand to his cheek.

                    "They had him in this cold ass room." I look over towards a wall where there was ropes being attached to the wall just like my room back at the Castle but this was worse.

                     By his body temperature they had him in this room for days. I only had him in his cage for 30 minutes because I just couldn't let him be in there too long.

                    I just wanted to make a point.

                    Shaking my head fondly, I pay my attention back to the boy who was in my arms. "Do you think the baby is okay?" I asked, feeling a little bit worried about the baby.

                    Ambrella looks up at me, nodding her head while giving me a weak smile. "Knowing it's your child it probably being a warrior right now and Hayden is going to be okay. If he put up with your bullshit then he can get through anything."

                    I ran my fingers through his hair, something I would do every morning when he's asleep before I have to get up for the day.

                    "You're right that he had to put up with me." I chuckle weakly. Things can be different if he would let me into his life again.

                    A lot things can change starting with me.

                    "What's that red light coming from his shirt?" Amberella questions, unbuttoning his shirt and a necklace around his neck were glowing a bright red.

                    I have seen this around his neck and I have never seen him take it off not once.

                    "It's my first time even seeing it glow like this. What does it mean?" I take the necklace in my finger tips and started to glow a brighter red that could blind someone.

                    Letting it go from almost blinding me, it stopped and I look at Amberella who was clueless of what's happening.

                   "Your Majesty, I hate to cut a heartwarming reunion, but we have to get out of here before─" Gregory says.

                    And on cue a loud explosion came making the whole room shake, some of the ceiling came down and I cover Hayden before anything hit him.
