Still Hammy's Pov

*Time skip! Yay!*

I awoke to a hand gently shaking me. I groaned and swiped at the hand that tried to wake me up, I heard a gentle voice call my name. "Alexander, come on its time to get up. We start classes today" I shot up with a gasp as the blood rushed to my head.

Burr put a supportive hand on my back to help me up out of bed. He then smiled before standing and leaving the room.

I looked out my window. The clouds were dark and storm like. Shit. I'm absolutely petrified of storms. When I was seventeen a hurricane destroyed my town, I didn't drown. I couldn't seem to die.
(Ha, see what I did there?! 😏)

After pulling some clothes on and tying up my hair I walked out to the kitchen where Burr was scrolling through his phone. There was a plate with bacon, eggs and toast on it clearly for me. He looked up at me with a smile. I sat down beside him. "Thanks." I simply said to him before getting suck into my breakfast.

*Short time skip*

I walked through the hall, bag flung across my back. I was deep in thought and wasn't paying attention to where I was going when I accidentally bumped into a tall boy "Oh, sorry" he was wearing a magenta jacket and his hair was big and rather -ah, floofy? He turned and looked down at me. Wait a second! I suddenly realised I had run into non other than...

Thomas Jefferson.

"Oh, hey Hammy"

Jefferson's Pov

I felt someone walk into me so I turned around to see who it was. "Oh, hey Hammy" I tease him as I glanced down with a smirk to see Alexander Hamilton. He blushed slightly and glared up at me "Not my name"

Hamilton and I have been at war with each other since our junior year when damn Hamilton bet me in a debate. I had been jealous and had called him out for cheating. He had responded with harsh insults which had resulted in us becoming enemies. Childish I know.

"Jefferson." He said in a venomous tone, I chuckle at the fact he was still blushing, but before I could say anything the bell went and he left in a hurry to get to class. Typical.

On my way to class my friend James Madison came and joined me with a smirk "Looks like your old buddy is here" he teased, I glared and playfully nudged him as we walked.

During second period I got bored and looked outside, the sky was dark and rain was pouring down. Suddenly, thunder was heard rumbling across the sky. I heard someone let out a sharp cry of fear and turned to see Hamilton race out of the room.

"Hamilton!" Washington stared worriedly after him. He turned and gave me a look as if to say go see if he is ok. I got up and ran after him.

I was walking through the hall searching for Hamilton when I heard harsh sobs coming from behind a corner. I poked my head around and looked down to see Hamilton, the usually talkative Hamilton curled up into a ball. Crying.

Hammy's POV

(Time to rewind!)
I heard thunder rumble. My heart began to speed up and I started shaking, I couldn't control myself. I tried breathing deeply to relax my nerves, but it didn't help. I leapt up from my seat and raced out of the room. I barely heard Washington call my name as I left.

I raced down the hallway unsure on where to go. "Burr!!" I called my friend's name, he was the only one who could comfort me when I was distressed about a storm. Fear took a hold of me as I dropped down into a corner and curled into a ball with my hands over my ears as more thunder rumbled angrily over head. The rain pouring down on the roof and the wind blowing violently. I was back. In the eye of a hurricane.

Jefferson's POV again!!

Seeing him like this made me regret every fight we've had. I wasn't sure what to do, so I knelt down and place an arm around Alexander's shaking body- wait since when did I start calling him by his first name? Whatever, I spoke gently to him with a reassuring and somehow soothing tone, I cradled him and stroked his hair to calm him.

I could hear footsteps, but I didn't bother to look up as I was too busy focusing on calming Alexander who either hadn't noticed that I was holding him or didn't care.

"Jefferson?" I looked up to see Aaron Burr looking down at us with a confused expression. I let out a nervous laugh as I could feel my cheeks getting warm "I- Washington asked me to see if he was ok" Burr just smirked and nodded before bending down and whispering gently to Alexander-I mean Hamilton. Oh my god!

After a few minutes Burr finally encouraged Hamilton to get up. I stood back and watched silently as Burr spoke calmly to reassure him.

He was curled up closely to Burr as he shook slightly from fear, but seemed calmer than before. The storm had settled down.

We walked towards class where Washington was out the front waiting, a worried look set upon his face. When he saw Hamilton he immediately allowed us to take him home before the storm picked up again.

Driving as quickly as I could we reached Burr and Hamilton's dorm. I helped bring Hamilton out and as I was about to get back into the car Hamilton reached up and grabbed my arm "Thomas, stay?" He pleaded. I'm sorry, but did Hamilton- my so called enemy just call me by my first name? I was about to decline his request when I looked up to see Burr, his expression was something that was hard to explain. Lord, show me how to say no to this. I couldn't say no.

Inside, Burr had left to get tea from the kitchen. I was in Hamilton's room sitting on his bed speaking softly to him when thunder rumbled over head and the wind rattled the window. Hamilton whined in fear and curled up to me. I looked down at him as he shook. Oh my god he looked so helpless a-and cute! Agh, what the hell brain!

My thoughts were interrupted when Burr came into the room and sat down on the bed beside us. He looked over at me, raised an eyebrow and chuckled. I gently rocked Hamilton as he began drift off to sleep while Burr watched protectively over his roommate.

In that one moment there was peace and quiet. The real...

eye of the hurricane.

Oh my god I finished!! Yes!! At like 1:30am hell yeahhh 😝
