Ham's POV
I rolled over, pulling the covers over my head as the sunlight flooded through the window and disrupted my sleep.
"Morning sleepyhead." Thomas said with a soft chuckle.
I just groaned and curled up into a ball and buried my head into the pillow. "Why so early?" I whined.
Thomas just burst out laughing and shook his head. "It's twelve o'clock Alexander." He exclaimed.
Last night had been a blast but I had forgotten just how bloody tiring it was to be fucked. My mind drifted to Burr... did I... wait- I let out a small gasp. Shit! I had promised I'd be home by 9:00 last night.
I sat up so fast that I groaned when my head spun and my vision blurred slightly, though once I had regained my senses I pulled out my phone seeing 12 unread messages and 5 calls from Burr.
"Everything ok?" Thomas asked, pulling me out of my own thoughts.
I blinked a couple of times before turning to him. "Oh yeah, sorry." I murmured quickly before dialling my friend's number.
"Hamilton!" Burr exclaimed down the other end of the phone. He sounded stressed and by his tone I could tell he had spent most of the night worrying about me, honestly I felt bad for him.
"Hey Aaron... I'm sorry I didn't come back last night I- got into a minor situation and ended up sleeping at Thomas'." I confessed with a slightly nervous chuckle.
Burr exhaled in relief. "God, I was worried. I spent half the night wondering whether I should go over and barge down the door to find you."
"Aw damn I do apologise but there is nothing to worry about." I murmured.
"Good. I'm not gonna ask when you'll be back, just get here safely thank you very much." Burr muttered on the other end before hanging up.
I sighed softly as I put my phone away and turned by attention back on Thomas. "Ok, so food."
"Hungry, eh who can blame ya? Last night would of drained your energy." He chuckled, winking at me as he spoke before climbing out of bed.
I slid of out the bed and moved over to get changed before heading out of the room and plonking myself into a set at the bench table.
"Whatcha cooking?" I asked, Thomas had his back to me and he was cooking up something really good. The smell was filling my nose, much to my delight.
"Breakfast, pancakes to be more precise." He said happily as he glanced over his shoulder at me. I just sat there quietly, I was unsure what to say, it was kind of awkward if I'm being honest.
Thomas moved over and placed a plate in front of me. I licked my lips slightly in anticipation earning a small chuckle from him as he glanced briefly over his shoulder. "Almost ready." He said, clearly noticing my actions.
"God, I can't wait it smells so good!" I said enthusiastically, rubbing my hands together as a flash of excitement ran through my body in that moment.
The Virginian flicked the pan, throwing the pancake up into the air before catching it again as it dropped. I just watched him in contentment, honestly, I've never been happier in my life.
"Aaaand." He said after a few minutes, pausing as he placed a plate with a pancake on the bench in front of me. "Ready."
The pancake had two round scoops of ice cream along with strawberries sprinkled over it and coated with what looked like maple syrup. I licked my lips, my eyes hungry to taste the food in front of me.
I couldn't wait a second more as I picked up the knife and fork that had miraculously appeared beside the plate and digging into my breakfast.
"Oh my god! This- this is absolutely delicious Thomas, where did you learn to cook like this?!" I exclaimed as I took in another mouthful of food.
Thomas chuckled softly and rubbed the back of his neck. "Uhhh my mother taught me..." he said softly and kind of shyly.
I was surprised by the reaction I had gotten from him, honestly I wasn't sure if I was talking to Thomas anymore. Where did the outspoken, roughed up guy gone?
Thomas' POV
God, what just happened?! I've never acted so shy in my life! I never thought it was possible to be completely honest.
I cleared my throat. "Anyway, do you have any preference of what you want to do today?"
Alex took in another mouthful of food as he pondered my question for a bit. I of course just stood patiently... well to a point.
"Hurry up we don't have all day." I grumbled earning a snicker from Alex.
"There you are, starting to think I was talking to a shy demon." He teased as I glared at him.
"Just answer the question." I snapped softly, geez I had forgotten how infuriating this small man could actually be.
"Ohh I know why don't we go to that new fun park that opened up a few days ago?" He suggested, the twinkle of excitement in my eyes making me melt inside.
I rolled my eyes to hide how I felt but ultimately I couldn't help but nod my head and sigh in agreement.
I can't believe it we're going to a fun fare.
