Unexpected

-Chapter 10-

Rick and I curled up on the couch as the girls slept in their bed. "Kate?" Rick asks tracing patterns on my shoulder. "Yeah?" I ask looking up at him. "I was wonder who is Lanie?" He says but I know that isn't what he wants to ask. "Well she is my best friend and also head medical examiner for the NYPD." I smile proud of her. "Wow. That's cool." He says. "Yeah it really is." I sigh snuggling closer to him. "I'm cold" I mumble. "Come on let's go to bed" He says getting up. "I'm too lazy to move!" I moan

"Well I guess I'll have to carry you." He picks me up bridal style and carries me to his bedroom. He lays me on the bed shutting the door and stripping to his boxers. "I don't have enough energy to put on my pjs." I grumble burying my face into a pillow. "Here I'll help" Castle sighs. I lay on my back and he gets a t shirt of his and my shorts for me to wear. He slides off my clothing then Puts on my Pjs. "Ahhhhhh. So comfy!! I love this shirt!" I giggle at Richard's shocked face. "What?" "It's just that no girl has ever said they like Green Lantern" He says crawling into bed. "Well you should know I'm not like most girls. I love comics, video games and other Mythical things." I shrug getting under the covers.

"It's refreshing to have a girl that understands superheroes and my addictions to them." I look at him and reply "well I usually dress up as Wonder Woman for Halloween." He crawls over me. "I'm usually Superman" he says against my lips his eyes scanning my face. My eyes flick to his lips and I lick mine accidentally licking his mouth since his lips are so close. He lowers his lips and I wrap my arms around his neck as our lips collide making fireworks. We pull away panting for air and just stare at each other. Once we get our breath back we cuddle and fall asleep.
