Shopping with Vee was never getting old. Tom loved the way she couldn't decide on anything, may it be clothes, trinkets or fourniture. Well, he loved it the first 30 minutes, then he found it annoying like any other guy. Still, it was a shame they didn't get to do this more often...

Vee had her 2 years roaming with the Star Wars staff and got her contract extended. She was meeting incredible people, from both sides of the camera, and she always came home with funny and crazy stories about things she did or witnessed! Tom could listen to her for hours talking about it. They were kind of having a little competition about who would have the best one. She was only winning because she was a better storyteller than him.

He was pretty busy too! He got himself into some challenging projects, the Brother's Trusts was still thriving and he kept putting on the Spider-Man costume every other year. He was proud of his achievements. As much as he was of Vee's.

They were both having the time of their life. But things were about to change...Some rainy day of november, he had found her waiting in the kitchen of their house, wearing nothing at all.

─ Let's make a baby, Thomas, she had said.

And dear lord they did it right on the kitchen table, breaking her granny's vase and his mum's teapot in the process.

Her pregnancy was going well and allowed her to work normally. For now at least. He knew her well enough to be sure she would try to keep doing so as long as she could.

She just came home for a few days and would be flying back to Iceland on Monday. Tom was on a 3 weeks break and they were using their time together to celebrate Vee's birthday - a bit late - and to start prepping the house for the future member of the family. They just found out they were going to have a girl!

They were walking through baby's room furniture, which basically consisted in Vee gushing over every single thing she saw and buying more stuffed animal that the bed could fit. She was 5 months in so her baby bump was starting to show. She was holding him by the hand, a moon shaped lamp in the other.

Tom wasn't sure what triggered it, but it struck him right in the middle of the aisle. Nothing really meaningful happened but something he had been thinking about for a long time just clicked. It was a tricky question, but he was feeling bold all of a sudden and his mouth started talking before he knew:

─ I need to ask you something, love.

─ Why so serious, she asked turning to him with a sly smile.

─ Would you agree to a civil marriage, he blurted out before his courage faded.

She froze and raised her eyebrows.

─ I know wedding is not your thing, he said hastily in fear she get pissed. It's just...You're carrying my child and I...I'd love to give my name to both of you, you know...

She raised her eyebrows higher and put the lamp down while he kept stammering:

─ I mean, I've been thinking about it for a while and...

─ And you figured proposing to me at Nanos would be a good idea, she sassed.

─ I'm not proposing!

She giggled and tugged at his hand to pull him closer. She was looking more amused than startled now.

─ Well it's too bad, she said playfully, because I might have put aside my standpoints and indulged you with a yes.

─ Really?!

She laughed again, probably at the surprise in his voice. She stood on her toes to plant a quick kiss on his lips before she said:
