Applying for a Daddy

We decided to get married in May. So that gave me a few more months to plan. Things were coming along nicely. I'd picked the colors, royal blue and white. So the tables will have white cloth with a small round mirror placed in the center. Each mirror will have a square glass vase with pearls in them and blue flowers. Artificial of course. My bouquet will be blue roses and the grooms men will have blue tulips on their blazers. We were currently out looking at suits. Colby has ordered three black suits, with white shirts and royal blue vests. They had been tailored and this was the last fitting. I was sitting with Kat and Tara. Jake, Sam and Colby were getting dressed. I hadn't picked out my bridesmaid yet, I had too many choices.

Maddie and Lexi were going to be in the wedding obviously, but Kat, Devyn and Tara...I wasn't sure who or how many I could have. Colby chose Sam to be the best man, and Jake and his older brother to be the grooms men. So I had to have at least three girls. I wanted Maddie to be my maid of honor, Lexi and Kat to be bridesmaids. We needed a flower girl, and I was thinking Tara.

Colby's brother already sent in his measurements to get his suit fitted. Finally the boys came out, the girls began to cheer. Colby looked amazing, his blue eyes shined in the light and stood out against the black. His blue hair had faded out so his brown was back. Which I'd only seen in pictures and videos before. But he looked so good. I stood up and cupped his face, kissing him. His hands met my waist as he kissed me back. "You look incredible." I mumbled. He smiled and turned to go change back into his normal clothes. Colby paid for the last minute alterations and we took all four of the suits home.

Sam took the suits home, Colby and I went to get food. He took me to Tender Greens, which we ate here pretty regularly but I didn't mind. I loved it here, not only is the food good but it's where we met. Colby ordered a plate of grilled chicken on some white rice. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and strawberries.

We sat down to eat, Colby sitting on the same side of the booth as me. He placed his hand on my thigh as we ate. We talked about the wedding and the small things. Like the flowers and the table cloths. We talked about the bride's maids dresses which I wanted to be a pretty royal blue but I didn't want them to all be the same. I wanted the girls to have their own styles. We talked about the food we wanted there and we agreed that salads were better than soups. Grilled chicken was better than fish or pork or anything.

We left the restaurant, driving our way back to the house I guess. I never paid attention to the roads when we drove. Mainly because I never drive, so I don't really need to know where to go. I zoned out, staring out the window. Colby's hand was on my thigh, like always. We pulled into the house's driveway and parked. Colby and I walked inside, hearing Aaron screaming upstairs at his game. I rolled my eyes as Colby and I went upstairs to his room. I laid down on his bed, stretching my legs out and cuddling a pillow. Colby chuckled and sat down at his computer, he started to edit. I closed my eyes, smiling softly.

I woke up to Colby's soft voice. My smile grew instantly. I felt his hand land on my arm and shake me gently. I looked up at him, moving my hair out of my face. "Hey, baby. It's time for dinner, come on." He offered me his hand, I was a bit confuse but I went with him. When I went downstairs, everyone was down there. Kevin, Mike, Xepher, Griffin. Tara and the other house girlfriends. Colby handed me and plate of pizza and kissed my forehead. We sat down in the living room to eat and watch a movie.

The movie that was on, I wasn't interested in very much, it was a horror movie though so I couldn't ignore it. I had forgotten the name but it had some guy with a mask. I was sitting on the white bean bag with Colby when suddenly there was a jump scare in the movie. Something jumped out of the closet. I jumped in my seat, gripping Colby's shirt in my hand. He laughed at me, rubbing my back.
